According to all the research in the last several decades, really, really, really bad cholesterol levels can sometimes be an indicator of vascular. Inflammation. This is usually brought on by too much sugar. Sometimes, really high cholesterol is just your natural state, and doesn’t seem to be any big deal.

Watching Fit to Fat to Fit on Hulu. This show is a real wild look at being heavy, public perceptions, personal perceptions, and motivations.

The premise is a trainer gains 40-60 lbs of fat in 4 months to experience fat loss along with a client. Formerly motivated personal trainers struggle with motivation after body fat increases. Before the fat gain they were eager rise at 5 am to exercise; after, they just want to sleep in and act very differently. The change is amazing and rapid.

The trainer really gets to experience the emotions and difficulties of the clients, including the mood swings brought on by hormonal imbalances from being overweight, and the frustration of hitting weight loss plateaus.

I have seen this story repeated a dozen times in the past few days, just to make sure it seems more plausible.

And in today’s era, I imagine people do believe that it is not healthy to eat meat, fruits, and vegetables as energy and nutrients source for the human body.

To anyone who has not taken human physiology, or has never been very interested in his own personal health, it probably seems believable that your body is programmed to be unable to be healthy until you have planted a few acres of grain, let it season, harvest it, grind it into flour, and add other ingredients to make bread or pasta.

Or you could just eat meat, fruit, and vegetables.

Observational data can’t prove causation, but they do make a compelling case for harm with high-animal-fat, low-carb diets.

Yes, if things like eating food your body was designed to run on and quitting artificial sources of carbohydrates sound challenging, the keto diet is definitely not for you... at least until you hit rock bottom, and finally start eating correctly.

These articles crack me up—they rehash old ideas that sound scary to people who have never taken chemistry or microbiology and enable readers to feel good about their unhealthy eating habits and urges.
