Good morning, everyone.

This weekend’s races brought forward one of the reasons we love this sport so much.

This weekend, we lost our friend, Matt Green. Matt had some medical issues that brought him to the big finish line—the one we only cross once. Before he got there, he had coached, cheered on, and helped so many riders cross the finish line here at the track.

Always a smile, always a passion for motocross, and always a willingness to help. That was made clear by the response of the people at the track this weekend. So many people stepped up—making lunches, filling in where needed, waiting patiently, and being ready to do anything to help.

Matt would have been proud to see this family of throttle twisters and those who support them coming together to help. Even on a crazy day, people found the compassion to help, the courage to continue riding, and the humility to simply be proud of what this sport means to so many.

This sport is infectious. It lasts a lifetime and finds its way into the hearts of so many, riders or not. That is exactly what Matt did.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Matt’s family. The family has asked that anyone wishing to offer support bring it to the track, and we will make sure it gets to them. And to send any pictures to Matt Green, from there his family can access them. Other ways to help will be posted as they become available.

We continued racing Sunday for Matt, and we will continue racing with his encouragement and support in our hearts.

Rest easy, Matt. We’ll keep riding.
