in 1995, Martin Scorsese's Casino opened in U.S. theaters. Shot at over 150 Las Vegas locations to capture the authentic 1970s atmosphere, the film stands out from other Mob movies like The Godfather and Goodfellas with their themes of family loyalty by focusing on the Mob’s role in shaping Las Vegas, highlighting the clash between old-school criminal operations and emerging corporate forces. Scorsese meticulously recreated the glam and grit of Sin City under Mob rule, blending historical accuracy with a cinematic exploration of greed, power and the changing face of organized crime. Casino is undeniably one of the greatest Mob movies, but has a better movie about Las Vegas ever been made? Let us know in the comments.

Still loving this modern sofa, the textiles were well chosen.

I'm not an Art Deco fanatic, well maybe just a little bit, lol. When I was designing homes down in H-Town everyone wanted traditional this and that. From three layer draperies to Louis XIV commodes, everything was dripping with the turn of the 18th century designs. But, my Vegas clients seem to have a huge appreciation for clean lines, metal, s**g rugs and good ole tub chair designs. Yup, no ball n claw feet in sight here. Since working at the World Market Center for the past 14 yrs. (Hard to believe it's been that long) I've been able to rub elbows with Vladimir Kagan, talk shop with countless manufactures and learn all about the differences in form vs function. Everyone is always asking me for a "special occasion" destination spot with great food and Old Vegas entertainment equiped with great hospitality, here's one. Politics aside, you'll be treated like old gold with great furniture and historical decor. Don't forget to book a night of their original hospitality and attention to foodie details.

I love adding curvilinear furniture to certain spaces. With all he hard lines of our interior walls and windows, it's inviting to be bold with contrasting lines.
