Ok guys, in an effort to be completely fair, I’ve had so many people ask over the last few years for old calls, and I simply did not/could not keep up with the requests. I found this in the move, so I’m offering one of my first Triple S acrylic stickered calls on auction at eBay, starting today at 5:30. Thanks for your interest in my calls!

In the move I found some older calls. I will be putting them up for sale. I am going to buy more equipment.

New Duck Call Shop almost finished

01/02/2021

The Quack Shack is liveable, but the duck call shop still has a way to go to be properly setup and functional. Now that the holidays are over and the “grands” have gone home, I plan to get the shop together in a real working way. However, we’re here, and we’re having visitors and customers stop by often! Feel free to come check it out, but in the words of my mom, remember that it’s “rough and ready”😬

New building and new floors need a new mop bucket...Phyllis was anxious to see one semi-clean spot! It’s like Groundhog Day in here. We work all day and come back the next and do it again...and again...and again! Going to start moving some equipment into the shop today.

So it’s always something, right? Someone decided that our front windows needed a hole shot through them last night (and Jim really didn’t even want to put windows in so I’m feeling extra bad😩)...believe me when I say that we will find whoever did this and they will be prosecuted.

10/29/20 I think I’ve already said that this is a slow progression of events. We are praying to be in by mid to late November but we certainly are not in control of how all of the pieces fit together! We do have some lights up—not cute but functional! The first piece of Sheetrock is going up...a huge part of pulling everything else together!
I have had a few “moments” during this construction...Jim is much more calm and easygoing (for the most part😉) Yet in the midst of this, we are reminded that this is just a blip on our radar of life...we know what is hard, and we know what is important. It will come together and it will be good.

10/21/20. Electrical here, electrical there, there’s electrical everywhere! We had no idea how involved electrical could be...edging closer every day. COVID19 has put a delay (& increased price of lumber, etc.) into this process...we’re anxious to see the final project!

9/30/20 Things are coming together! Gas line going in, water meter going in, lumber delivered, windows going in! There is light at the end of the tunnel! Ready to get equipment moved and start cranking out some customs, but first things first.

And while we are overjoyed about our new construction, we just heard this devastating news mid-morning today. Max and I met the first fall I was at Liquors Unlimited. He was about 21, and here supervising the select timber cutting off of Alabama Hunting Club. We became fast friends! He was in and out of our home, he’s probably one of the few adults my young sons knew outside of family, he always dropped by when he was down here hunting, and we always found a way to get together when we were in the Gulf Shores area. Man, another great guy gone too soon. You will be missed, our friend💔

Max Franklin Osborn, age 55, a native of Florence, AL and a resident of Foley, AL passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Max loved his family fiercely and loved God most of all. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He
