IESA Team Spotlight: Clarendon Hills Notre Dame Cross Country 🌟

This year, we're excited to launch our new IESA Team Spotlight series, highlighting the teams, coaches, athletes, and communities that make IESA special. This week, we're featuring the Clarendon Hills Notre Dame Cross Country Team and Head Coach John Darrow.

🤝 What Makes This Team Special: Coach Darrow says the team's greatest strength is its unity! "We are blessed with tight-knit, cohesive team unity across all grades and genders."

🏫 Community Support Success doesn't happen alone. The Clarendon Hills Notre Dame cross country program is backed by dedicated families who continually show up for their athletes. "Our team parents are outstanding in both supporting our athletes at meets as well as providing whatever time or talent the team requires."

Last Thursday, we honored our beloved former teammate and coach, Sean Richards, who we tragically lost in July, 2023. We presented the Sean Patrick Richards Award to four athletes who reflect Sean’s great attributes of dedication, kindness, perseverance and encouragement. Congratulations to our 2026 Junior Harrier honorees Freya and Noah, and to our Harrier honorees Nora and Damian. Special thank you to Coach Driscoll for his heartfelt words on the strength of Sean’s enduring spirit in the Harrier family.

Cammie Bruce brought home her 2nd Nike National Championship of the weekend in the 4x400 Relay. We’re excited to have Cammie rejoin the Harriers this week!

A fun night dusting off the rust and racing a wide variety of distances out in Plainfield! Thank you to Plainfield Pack for hosting and our amazingly supportive families and coaches! Extra shout out to our HS coaches running around the infield to get/keep the kiddo relay teams together!!

Summer Harriers and Juniors camps kicked off today after the rain cleared! It was awesome to see all the faces from different schools back together again and our fun coaches home from college. We are so excited for the summer running, games and new friends! It’s not too late to sign up and come join us!
