Senior Spotlight ⭐⭐⭐
Olivia MacLaughlin
12 years at DDD… and we are so grateful for every single one. 💙
It's just about time to take the DDD stage for one more recital weekend. Soak it all in Liv, these memories will be with you forever.
Her favorite DDD memory:
“I will forever miss the traditions we made together—bringing a fake squirrel to competitions, seeing it make appearances at recital, playing games at every holiday party, having Crumbl on birthdays, and simply sharing a laugh together.” 🐿️
Her advice to younger dancers:
" I always hear the littles say, ‘I wish I was older’ or ‘I can’t wait to have a car,’ and I am guilty of saying those things myself. I will forever regret not enjoying those moments more. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was getting my first costume and wearing it until it ripped, even though that was 12 years ago. No matter what team or level you are on, stay in the present with your friends, family, teammates, and instructors, because time truly does fly.
What dance has taught her:
"Dance has taught me time management skills, but it has also given me the opportunity to meet amazing people I consider family—people who support, defend, and care for me unconditionally. Most importantly, it taught me to leave my comfort zone and believe in myself, a skill I will carry into my next chapter in life.
Next up: Penn State University, Smeal College of Business. Major-Finance. 📚✨
We love you, Olivia, and know you will go on to do thrive in all you do. Thank you for 12 wonderful years of memories and dedication. Your DDD family will always be cheering you on. 💙💙💙
