Well one of the best all around opening days of dove season in years! Biggest bird counts I’ve seen on multiple managed areas in a long time! Only good thing about hot dry weather, baby bird survival rate goes way up! Pic here was from today a 450-500 bird count area we saved for after opening day! Most birds I’ve ever seen fly in the dense fog!

I finally got to guide the news on 6 giveaway trip! High water delayed us from original May date we had scheduled. Had a great trip! Also shorter version on news on 6 web site.

Channel 6 giveaway trip they do each year went great yesterday! We caught some big hybrids! With high water took most guides in state out of their boats for 4 weeks! Feels great to be back on water! Tess Maune and crew from chl 6 do a great job! Winner Robin and husband Steve from Oolagah did a awesome job putting fish in the boat! Big thank you to Tess, Chris, Fred from chl 6!
