About the founder/owner: Daniel Mackay created Reign Baseball Academy with one main goal in mind; to give every baseball player, no matter the talent level, an affordable option to the highest level of instruction possible. Hailing from Colorado, Daniel had a successful high school career at Cherokee Trail High School as both a pitcher and hitter, taking home All State honors in both his Junior and Senior years on Varsity. After playing for Team Colorado for three seasons, Daniel moved on to his college career at Colby Community College where he focused on pitching, earning himself a spot as a conference starter as a freshman. After redshirting his sophomore year due to injury, he returned to Colby in a different role pitching as a setup and closing pitcher. After graduating from Colby, he was recruited and signed to Washburn University where he ultimately had to leave his baseball career after re-injuring his elbow. After his college career was over in 2016, Daniel moved into coaching at Cherokee Trail High School in a Junior Varsity assistant role as the pitching coach. In 2020, he moved to Oklahoma where he is now an assistant coach at Rejoice Christian School, focusing on hitting and outfielders. If he isn't at the baseball field, you can find him at a fishing hole, hunting or spending time with his wife, kids and two dogs.
