⚾ COMMUNITY SUPPORT NEEDED ⚾

Good afternoon, everyone.

As many of you know, CYBSA has been working diligently to improve our baseball facilities for the youth of our community. Last year, the CYBSA Board appeared before City Council seeking approval to modify Field 2 (located by the concession stand) so it could accommodate both 40/60 and 50/70 field dimensions.

Currently, the field is set up as a 40/60 field, which serves our younger athletes well. Our proposal would allow the field to also be used at 50/70 dimensions, giving our older players an opportunity to develop on a field that better prepares them for the transition to middle school baseball, where they play on a 60/90 field. Anyone who has watched these athletes move between recreation and middle school baseball knows what a significant adjustment that can be.

This project would be completed at no cost to taxpayers. The improvements would be funded entirely through CYBSA, a nonprofit organization, along with grant funding secured specifically for this project.

Unfortunately, City Council did not bring the matter to a vote during our previous appearance. We will be returning to City Council tomorrow evening and requesting that this matter be placed back on the agenda for a vote.

Why is this important?

⚾ Our league could lose its charter status due to upcoming 2027 requirements.

⚾ As of 2025, 38 of New Hampshire's 42 leagues were already utilizing 50/70 dimensions for their Majors Division.

⚾ The delay in bringing this matter to a vote has increased the project cost by approximately $5,000.

⚾ CYBSA is hosting Districts this year, but because our fields do not meet the required dimensions, the tournament must be played in Newport instead of Claremont.

⚾ The 50/70 division also introduces rules that better prepare athletes for middle school baseball, including balks, leading off, and advanced base-running situations.

We are asking all baseball families, players, siblings, alumni, supporters, and community members to join us at City Hall tomorrow at 6:30 PM during Citizens Forum. If Council approves adding this matter to the agenda, we need a strong showing of community support.

Our youth deserve facilities that help them grow, develop, and compete at the highest level possible. Your presence can make a difference.

Please attend, share this post, and help us fill the room with supporters of Claremont youth baseball.

🥎⚾🔥 Coach Appreciation BBQ June 7, 2026 🔥⚾🥎

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the amazing coaches who dedicate so much of their time, energy, and heart to our players and league!

We had a great turnout for our Coach Appreciation BBQ, and it was fantastic to see coaches and their families come together outside of the ballfield. We enjoyed concessions, pizza, music, coach gifts, and plenty of laughs throughout the evening. The coaches' kids had a blast playing together, while everyone enjoyed some well-deserved time to relax and connect.

While we missed those who were unable to attend, your contributions to our league are no less appreciated. We hope you'll be able to join us at future events!

Thank you to all of our coaches for the countless hours you volunteer, the lessons you teach, and the positive impact you make on our players every season. Events like this are just a small way for us to say THANK YOU for everything you do.

A great afternoon filled with food, fun, family, and appreciation—just the way it should be! 🥎❤️⚾

🍦⚾ A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year's fundraiser a success! ⚾🍦

Today we're sharing a few photos of our Diamondbacks enjoying their Ice Cream Social, graciously donated by the one and only Mercedes from Wade's Place! The kids had an absolute blast enjoying their yummy treats and then trying their best to burn off the inevitable sugar rush with plenty of running, laughing, and playing!

A special congratulations to the Diamondbacks for earning the highest total donations during this year's fundraiser! What an incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of the hard work and support from your players, families, friends, and community.

Fundraisers like this are so important to the success of our league. The support we receive helps us continue providing opportunities, equipment, field improvements, and memorable experiences for our youth athletes. We truly could not do it without the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our families.

Thank you again to Mercedes and Wade's Place for the delicious treats, to our Diamondbacks for their outstanding fundraising efforts, and to everyone who contributed to making this season possible. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Blue Jays pitchers Cullen Webster and Brady Leavitt combined for a dominant performance, allowing just two hits, both by Colton Pond. Gavin Reed and Cullen Webster scored the Blue Jays' runs after reaching base on walks and advancing on passed balls.
The Red Sox received an outstanding effort from Jayden Patterson, Josh Chaloux, and Colton Pond, who combined to throw a no-hitter. Tristan Amell scored the Red Sox's lone run in the championship contest.

🍕⚾ HOME RUN HERO ALERT! ⚾🍕

A huge congratulations to Colton Pond on an absolutely incredible accomplishment—TWO out-of-the-park home runs in the same game! 💥💥 What an amazing performance and a moment that won't soon be forgotten!

Not only did Colton crush two home runs, but he was also the only player in the league this season to hit a home run and earn a free pizza through our Home Run Pizza Program—and he did it twice in one game! 🍕🍕🏆

A special thank you to Tremont House of Pizza for their generous support of our Home Run Pizza Program. Their continued commitment to our young athletes helps make moments like these even more memorable.

Since opening in 1978, Tremont House of Pizza has been a locally owned and family-run business dedicated to serving fresh, homemade food. They make their dough and sauces right in the restaurant and take pride in providing the true pizzeria experience to our community. We are grateful for their partnership and support of local youth sports.

Congratulations again, Colton! Hitting two out-of-the-park home runs in one game is an extraordinary achievement. Enjoy those well-earned pizzas from Tremont House of Pizza—you've definitely earned them! 🍕⚾🔥
