A little appreciation post for the man behind the scenes who has made so much of Glacier Swim possible š„¹š
If youāve spent any time at our pool, youāve probably seen Glen wandering around, always making sure everything is just right for us. We wholeheartedly mean it when we say that we wouldnāt be where we are today without him.
As Glacier Swim has grown, Glen has grown right along with us. When we reached the point where we needed space for a second instructor, he literally built us a teaching platform on the far side of the pool so we could make it work. š„¹ He keeps the water at a toasty 88Ā° year-round for our little swimmers (even though the scuba divers might prefer it a few degrees cooler š) and every single day, he opens the pool for us, gets everything ready, and is there again to help us close it all back up.
There are so many little things that happen behind the scenes to make this program possible, and Glen is responsible for more of them than most people will ever know.
Weāve grown a LOT in this little pool, and he has never once made us feel like weāre taking up too much space. Instead, he just keeps finding ways to help us grow. š¤
So if you see Glen wandering around the pool, make sure you give him a big hello. Weāre very, very lucky to have himā and Glacier Swim quite literally wouldnāt be what it is today without him.š š¤
