This isn’t a fancy video with all the edits that you will see out there nowadays or the music that makes a video more fun. What it shows is consistency & dedication over time- and the sound of hard work in the gym. 🔥🔥🔥
Simple yet effective moves done over and over and over again.
Once again a parent came up to us after our games this weekend and asked us what we are doing in practices to get our girls to be able to dribble so well and handle the ball. Particularly, this parent commented on the bench players coming in and being better than most starters (with ball handling skills) on other teams 🔥🔥 This isn’t unique and we get multiple comments every tournament about our team’s fundamentals.
You want to know why?
It’s not a SECRET, yet most people won’t do it.
Doing the mundane, boring, fundamentals- that no one wants to do- takes time. It’s hard, it’s tedious, it’s tiring lol and takes often a lot of correction at first and of course valuable practice time.
Trainers who don’t focus on fundamentals shouldn’t be training. You are going to get the fancy pants trainers out there throwing random moves and things at your athletes, but if fundamentals are not taught at an early age..why practice the harder things in the first place?
You don’t just suddenly “have” fundamentals. You don’t wake up at 15 and suddenly be able to dribble the ball. It’s hours and hours in the gym, doing the same moves over and over.
That is what we do at & - focus on basics & fundamentals, the mundane and boring stuff so your CHILD actually gets better.
When new families come to our trainings they are blown away. Kids that have been playing for years, struggle and have to work through the new warmups we put our athletes through. But the struggle brings confidence later on and the ability to handle the ball in tough situations.
SPRING session is about to be here! We have training only days, Spring teams forming & tryouts- options to work with our amazing trainers & & plyos with .jeppe503
