Former Pride pitcher Holly Posegate has had a terrific start to her season pitching for the NW Missouri Bearcats. She is 2-0 with 2 complete game victories allowing only 1 earned run. She has a 0.64 ERA and was just named Bearcats Female Athelete of the Week! Way to go Holly!

This field is a 25 minute drive from the resort, so plan to leave the resort no later than 8:15 a.m. to be sure.

Wednesday, July 27
Game 2 - 8:00 a.m.

This field is only 7 minutes from the resort, so leave by 6:40.

We drew all morning games in pool play, which is nice. The weather there will be very similar to here with low 90s during the day and high 60s late at night or early morning. It will be a little more humid, but nothing like KC or Orlando. It really should be beautiful.

We will have one game on Thursday and it will be at the West Covina Fields. That game could be as early as 11:30 a.m. or as late as 8:15 p.m. It just depends on what seed we get out of our pool. Win or lose, we will only play one game on Thursday.

We will play on Friday. If we stay in the winners bracket, we will play 2 games on Friday, 2 games on Saturday and 12 on Sunday. If we fall into the losers bracket, we may only play one game on Friday and then lots of games on Saturday.

Unless we lose our first two bracket games, we will be playing every day through at least Saturday. Of the 32 teams in the tournament, 5 will play on Sunday. We want to be one of those 5. Be ready to play for 6 straight days.

Basically, do not plan for any full day off once we start playing. We have early games on Tuesday and Wednesday, should be done by 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Thursday will only have one game as well. Plan events accordingly.

This is going to be a fun trip, but let's not forget, we came to compete! Let's do work!!

Pride ladies. We could not be more proud of you. Preparing to go to Nationals, and even though you got close but did not win State, you have moved into the top 5 in the National rankings!

The Pride ladies had another terrific weekend. The Championship is always the goal but they took 3rd at State, and honestly, with just a couple bounces their way, would have been in the Championship. These ladies have played hard all year and constantly demonstrated elite play and sportsmanship. Today they won their 50th game of the season. Their record is 50-14. To put that in perspective, that's the equivalent of a MLB team winning 128 games. Very proud of these ladies and a little sad this was their last tournament in Colorado together. Off to California for Nationals. What's say we just go win it ladies!
