🏀❤️ Cedarville Team Camp Recap ❤️🏀

The Logan Elm Lady Braves recently wrapped up three days of basketball, growth, and team building at Cedarville University Team Camp.

While we may not have finished with the win-loss record we had hoped for, the camp was an incredible success in so many ways. One of the greatest benefits of summer basketball is learning about your team. We learned a lot about who we are and who we can become.

It was exciting to watch several players step into leadership roles and see others make major strides in their development. Throughout the week, players gained confidence, expanded their skills, and showed glimpses of what the future of Lady Braves Basketball can be.

The camp featured seven competitive basketball games against quality opponents, giving our players valuable experience and opportunities to grow. But some of the best memories happened away from the scoreboard.

The team embraced Coach Schultz's famous Dare Challenges, where players had to complete unusual and sometimes hilarious feats for a chance to draw for prize money. There was plenty of laughter, pizza, team bonding, and memories made throughout the week.

Most importantly, this group continued to strengthen the relationships and culture that will be the foundation of our program moving forward. The effort, attitude, and willingness to grow were on display every day.

We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to the rest of our summer activities as we continue preparing for the 2026-2027 Lady Braves Basketball season.

The future is bright, and this team is just getting started. ❤️🤍

🏀❤️ Leadership in Action at Cedarville Team Camp ❤️🏀

One of the most valuable parts of our time at Cedarville University Team Camp happened off the court.

Throughout camp, our five seniors took ownership of leading discussions on what it takes to build a successful team using concepts from Patrick Lencioni's book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Each senior stepped forward to teach and lead conversations with their teammates about a key characteristic of championship teams:

🔴 Maleah Gardner – Trust
⚪ Gillian Savage – Constructive Conflict
🔴 Molly Miller – Commitment
⚪ Palynn Wray – Accountability
🔴 Emma Largent – Team Results

These discussions challenged our team to think beyond basketball and focus on the habits, relationships, and culture that create success both on and off the court.

What made these talks special was that our seniors didn't just teach the concepts—they lived them. Throughout camp, they demonstrated what it means to be a Lady Brave through their effort, attitude, leadership, and the way they interacted with every player in our program, from incoming freshmen to fellow upperclassmen.

Building a great team starts with building great teammates, and our seniors have embraced that responsibility. We are proud of the leadership they displayed and the example they continue to set for the future of Lady Braves Basketball.

❤️🤍 The future of our program is bright because of leaders like these. 🤍❤️

🏀❤️ Lady Braves Summer Update ❤️🏀

The Logan Elm Lady Braves continue to put in the work this summer, and it is showing on the court!

After two weeks of competition in the Jackson Summer League, the Lady Braves have compiled an impressive 6-1 record against some very talented teams. With 12 area programs competing throughout the league, our players have embraced the challenge and continue to improve every time they step on the floor.

What has been most exciting is seeing the growth of this team. The effort, teamwork, communication, and confidence continue to improve each week as our players prepare for the upcoming season. Summer basketball is about more than wins and losses—it's about developing skills, building chemistry, and creating habits that will carry into the winter season. This group has done a tremendous job of all three.

The work doesn't stop here!

This week, the Lady Braves will travel to Cedarville University for a three-day team camp where they will compete in seven more games against quality competition. These opportunities are invaluable as we continue to grow together and prepare for the challenges ahead.

We are proud of the commitment these young ladies have shown so far this summer, and we're excited to see what they accomplish next.

❤️🤍 The future is bright for Lady Braves Basketball! 🤍❤️

🏀❤️ WHAT AN AMAZING WEEK FOR THE FUTURE OF LADY BRAVES BASKETBALL! ❤️🏀

Our Logan Elm Lady Braves Basketball Camp officially wrapped up, and the future of this program is BRIGHT! 🌟

We had over 30 campers entering 3rd–6th grade spend the week learning the game, building confidence, competing, and having FUN while growing together as future Lady Braves.

A huge thank you to Coach Abby Valentine for leading camp and pouring her knowledge, energy, and passion into our young players. We also appreciate our high school players and coaches for investing their time and helping mentor the next generation of Lady Braves basketball players. ❤️🤍

Campers worked hard on skills, teamwork, and game fundamentals each day — and they did it with great attitudes and effort. Each grade level recognized Campers of the Day for their heart, hustle, and positivity.

Of course, the week also included some fun with our camp t-shirts reminding everyone that…
🏀 “Basketball is for girls!” 🏀

With snacks, drinks, smiles, and lots of basketball memories made, this camp was about much more than just the game. It was about building confidence, friendships, work ethic, and the culture of Lady Braves Basketball.

The future is exciting, and we cannot wait to watch these young ladies continue to grow. ❤️🤍

Day 2 of the Little Braves Basketball Camp was another great one for our future Lady Braves! 🏀❤️

Young ladies in 2nd through 5th grades spent the day learning and competing while building their basketball skills through drills, teamwork, and FUNdamentals. The high school Lady Braves players did an awesome job assisting with drills and encouraging the next generation of players every step of the way.

Coach Valentine continues to lead a fantastic camp, teaching the girls how to cut, defend, shoot, and dribble while making the game fun and exciting for everyone involved.

We’re looking forward to the final day tomorrow when all campers will receive their camp t-shirts! Thank you to everyone helping make this camp such a great experience for these young athletes. 🏀
