Who’s ready for this years club championship!? ⛳️

Local Club Championship Rules

The tournament will be played under the USGA Rules of Golf, except where modified by the following Local Rules.

General Rules

Lift, Clean, and Place: Permitted in the general area. A ball may be lifted, cleaned, and placed within one scorecard length of its original spot, no closer to the hole.
Scoring: Each player’s score must be kept by another player who is registered in the event.
No Gimme Putts: Every putt must be holed.
Complete Every Hole: All players must hole out on every hole.
Provisional Balls: If there is a possibility that a ball is out of bounds or lost outside a penalty area, the player should play a provisional ball. The player must clearly announce to the group that they are playing a provisional before making the stroke.

Bunkers

Rake and Place: A ball in a bunker may be lifted, the area raked, and the ball placed within one scorecard length of its original position, no closer to the hole, while remaining in the bunker.
Relief from a bunker is not permitted unless there is standing water.
A bunker containing standing water will be treated as Ground Under Repair (GUR). Take the nearest point of complete relief within the bunker, then place the ball within one scorecard length, no closer to the hole.

Penalty Areas & Out of Bounds

White Stakes – Out of Bounds

Add one penalty stroke.
Replay the shot from the location of the previous stroke (stroke and distance).

Red Stakes – Red Penalty Area

Add one penalty stroke.
Drop within two club lengths of the point where the ball last crossed the edge of the penalty area, no closer to the hole.

Yellow Stakes – Yellow Penalty Area

Add one penalty stroke and choose one of the following:
Replay from the location of the previous stroke (stroke and distance), or
Drop on a straight line going back from the hole through the point where the ball last crossed the edge of the penalty area. The point where the ball entered the penalty area must remain directly between the hole and the drop location.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make rulings on any situation not specifically covered by these Local Rules. All committee decisions are final.
