Funny storyā€¦

Back when I was first learning about fitness, motivation, and how to get my butt off the couch, I followed every inspirational person I could find on social media. Iā€™d share their quotes, memes, and workout posts like they were gospel.

One day I commented on someoneā€™s post and said:

ā€œYou inspire me so much. I was feeling defeated today, but after seeing your post, I got up, cleaned my whole house, ran the vacuum, and finally felt accomplished.ā€

Looking back, thatā€™s kind of funny because I wasnā€™t talking about crushing a workout or setting a PR. I was talking about vacuuming my living room.

But at the time, I had two little babies at home, time was limited, and I was just learning how to build discipline.

What I didnā€™t realize then was that motivation isnā€™t always about doing something big. Sometimes itā€™s about creating momentum. Sometimes cleaning the house is the win. Sometimes getting out of your pajamas is the win. Sometimes just proving to yourself that you can take action is enough.

Years later, I understand that those small victories were laying the foundation for the bigger ones.

And honestly, thatā€™s one reason I continue to share my journey.

If youā€™ve ever seen one of my posts and decided to take a walk, go to the gym, clean the house, drink more water, tackle a project youā€™ve been putting off, or simply do a little more than you planned that day, then thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey.

Because I know exactly what that feels like.

I used to be the person sitting on the other side of the screen looking for a little motivation to get moving.

Never underestimate what seems like a small accomplishment today.

The person who cleaned the house because they felt inspired might just become the person who changes their entire life.

I never really thought much about the number.

11,000 followers across all platforms šŸ¤©

Itā€™s easy to look at social media and focus on likes, comments, shares, or whether a post performed well. Sometimes it can feel like youā€™re talking into the void.

Then I asked ChatGPT to show me an image of what 11,000 people actually looks like gathered in one place.

Wow ā€¼ļø

Thatā€™s not a number.

Thatā€™s an auditorium full of people.

11,000 individuals with their own stories, struggles, victories, setbacks, goals, families, and dreams.

It reminded me that impact isnā€™t always measured by engagement. Sometimes people are listening even when theyā€™re not commenting. Sometimes theyā€™re watching, learning, laughing, relating, or finding encouragement without ever hitting the like button.

If something Iā€™ve shared has helped even a small percentage of those people smile, think differently, keep going, or believe in themselves a little more, then every post has been worth it.

So today Iā€™m just grateful šŸ„²šŸ™šŸ¼

The lumbar medial branch block went greatā€¼ļø

I cried when I got into my car because this is the first time since June 2018 that Iā€™ve been completely pain-free. šŸ˜­

Iā€™ve cried several more times since getting home.

I honestly canā€™t believe the difference. Just being able to walk around without pain felt like getting a piece of my life back. šŸ„³

The good news is that this response is exactly what the insurance company needed to see. Iā€™ll go back and have the procedure done again, and then Dr. Chamberlin will move forward with a nerve ablation, targeting the small nerves that send pain signals to my brain.

For the first time in a very long time, I feel hopeful. ā¤ļø

Thank you to everyone who has followed this journey, encouraged me, prayed for me, and checked in on me over the years. Today feels like a huge win.

After eight years of living with this every single day, today gave me something I havenā€™t felt in a long timeā€¦
