YOU SEE THE WORKOUTS—BUT THE WORK CONTINUES IN THE KITCHEN. 🏋🏿‍♀️🍽️

I train to build strength, endurance, balance, and muscle.

I eat intentionally to help fuel that training, support recovery, maintain muscle, manage my weight, and care for my long-term health.

That doesn’t mean every meal is perfect or that enjoyable foods are forbidden. It means my usual choices support my goals more often than they work against them.

✅ Protein
✅ Fiber-rich carbohydrates
✅ Colorful produce
✅ Healthy fats
✅ Goal-conscious portions
✅ Consistency—not perfection

You cannot depend on occasional workouts and random nutrition choices to produce lasting results.

Train with intention. Eat with intention. Repeat.

Which side needs more attention in your life right now—fitness or nutrition?

The guesses were 10, 7 and 3—here’s my BMS nutritional rating! 👀

The complete breakfast as served earned a 6.5/10. It had protein and energy-supporting carbohydrates, but it was low in fiber, fruits and vegetables—and high in sugar, refined carbohydrates, sodium and fat.

Since I ate only part of everything pictured, the amount I consumed earned 7.0/10. That generous maple syrup kept it from going higher! 😂

Then I chose water and completed a 2.5-mile walk.

Not to erase the meal—but to keep moving after fueling my body.

Everything in moderation. Consistent progress—not perfection. Life is meant to be enjoyed!

I’m absolutely not ready to transition from Summer! But having a lovely early Fall walk with my beautiful Soror Sharon McCreary helped ease me into it!

Cheers to being able to slow down enough to see and appreciate the seasons that God gifts us with.

FRIDAY FITNESS ENERGY! 🔥💪🏾

Try the Standing Band Tension Sweep! Maintain outward tension as you sweep from low to high with steady, controlled reps.

Start with 3 rounds of 40 seconds. After three recovery days, progress to 4 rounds of 40 seconds.

It challenges your shoulders, arms, upper back, core and stability. Add it to your weekend exercise plan! ✅

POST-WORKOUT DINNER WITH A PURPOSE 💪🏾🍽️

After completing a mini functional fitness workout and 30 minutes on the treadmill, it was time to refuel!

Breakfast and lunch were a little short on protein, so dinner helped me close the gap:

• 3 oz lean pork loin with a light BBQ coating
• 3.5 oz air-fried cod
• Two mini ears of corn
• Sautéed green beans with thinly sliced potato
• Seven asparagus spears
• One small sweet red pepper

Estimated protein: approximately 55 grams

This colorful plate delivered lean protein to support recovery, carbohydrates to replenish energy, fiber and a variety of important nutrients. It was an intentional post-workout meal based on what my body—and my overall day—needed.

I’m following dinner with a 15-minute walk—gentle movement to support digestion instead of immediately sitting down after eating.

Wellness means paying attention to the entire day, making thoughtful adjustments and remaining consistent.

Train. Refuel. Digest. Keep moving!
