Kings CX weekend is October 17th & 18th. Course setup actually starts the Tuesday before. It's not a QCW event but we encourage you to lend a hand helping with this massive endeavor if you can find the time.

The first day of Fall arrived in Cleves with unseasonably cool temperatures and a steady light rain. We still had 12 determined riders who refused to let a little rain get in the way of some good old fashioned high-intensity training! Unfortunately, the weather did not allow for any new Personal Best times.

A big welcome to Nick Holdren who made his very first attempt on the hallowed Cleves course last evening, turning in a very respectable time riding "Merckx-style" on his classic steel steed!

Next Tuesday, 9/29, is our 2026 grand finale. If you haven’t yet been out to Cleves this year, you don’t want to miss this one. You certainly don’t want to spend the entire winter lamenting and grieving for having missed an entire season of self-induced pain and suffering!

REMINDER! The first rider will go off next Tuesday a half hour earlier (at 6:30) in order for us to finish before dark.

We have only two more Cleves Time Trial events for the 2026 season – tonight 9/22 and next Tuesday 9/29! That means there are only two more opportunities to set a new personal best for the year. Here are the results from last week.

The heat and humidity combined for an especially hot experience! Consequently, there were no PRs and most times were 20-30 seconds slower than usual.

We had two DNFs due to flats. I don’t ever recall two riders flatting on the same night. Hopefully, this is not a trend!

I neglected to mention that Tony Alexander set a PR last week, shaving another 15 seconds from his previous best time. Congratulations to Tony!

Also, please make note that we will set the first rider off one half hour earlier at 6:30 PM on the final TT (9/29) due to diminishing sunlight.

There will be a cold water waiting at the finish for every rider Sunday, courtesy of our friends at Travel Butler County, Ohio. Preregistration is open now at BikeReg, https://www.bikereg.com/harbin-park. Be aware that after midnight tonight all entries will be considered "day of", meaning the price will increase $10, but, more importantly, "day of" registrants lose staging priority, and will be staged at the back of their respective group.
