Another Ohio Star Ball has come to an end.
This Thanksgiving I am truly reflective and grateful for every moment and opportunity that has led me to where I am today. I’m grateful to God for His gift of the ability to dance - to express myself in connection with others to music. I’m grateful for the harmony created in moments of movement. I’m grateful that He has blessed me with a wonderful talent and student body that keep me uplifted and motivated to always be becoming. We are becoming together: becoming better humans, becoming better friends, becoming better dancers and performers, becoming champions of life. True victors appreciate what has been given to them, and understand the hard work that it takes to transform. True victors don’t worry about results, but dance with confidence in their skills and abilities. True victors achieve without worry or anxiety, and when negative emotions try to creep in they are able to overcome and quell potential resultant obsession. True victors acknowledge the skills of others and don’t let jealousy overshadow their results.
I’m so blessed to be dancing with a group of lovely victors.

Practice Parties are a fun social event open to the public. The evening will start with a 45 minute newcomer's class followed by a variety of music to give you the opportunity to practice the material you are learning in class, connect with your dance community, and have a fabulous time!

Another incredible year at the World Championships Embassy Ballroom Championships!
The dancers there are world class, the hotel is beautiful and spacious and close to so many great options for food and entertainment, and the energy in the ballroom is just amazing. 🤩

The whirlwind continued…

CBC 2025!

Thank you to all of my ladies who danced with me at the 15th anniversary of CBC Dancesport!

Joan - you were brilliant! So calm, cool and collected. You did all of the things we have been working on in lessons and I was so happy with how it felt. Congratulations on your finals and top 3 finishes, and for attacking the silver level in standard and rhythm now!

Sandy - so much hard work that paid off. New choreo for 8 dances at the silver level, plus night club and bronze standard. You did great for only a few months of preparation. I look forward to your progress now that we have more time before the next event. Great job!

Eileen - so much fun doing our solo yet again! The crowd and judges loved your ability to really tell a story with your acting and dancing. Well done :). And great job in standard. You got all your lock steps!!!

Cheryle - another amazing job yet again! I’m simply amazed at your ability to remain composed even through injuries, medical problems, high stress job and tons of travel. You somehow make it all look easy. You are inspiring! Congratulations on all your wins!

Linda Powell - thanks again for a spur of the moment country and nightclub entry. We had such a blast and you rocked out in all the championships and the Brock trophy challenge. Such a pleasure to dance with you yet again :)

It’s been a whirlwind of a month!
Nashville to Tahoe to CBC and now to Embassy. As I sit here waiting to dance rhythm at the world championships today I want to take time to reflect on the past two events with thanksgiving in my heart.

Thank you to all of my students who have blessed me with your time, hard work and dedication to this beautiful craft we call dance. It is truly a pleasure to share the floor with you, and every time it just keeps getting better.

And now for the individual reflections:

Rose - this was your first ever dance competition and you looked the part and danced brilliantly! You truly handled yourself with the grace of a seasoned veteran, even though it was your maiden voyage. Thank you for placing your trust in me and for setting the floor aglow with your spirit and love for dance. Congratulations to your wins in the bronze smooth division. Truly well deserved and unheard of for a first time out!

Cheryle - solid as a rock and consistent as always. From dance 1 to 100 you brought your steady grace to the floor in each style. It’s been such an incredible journey these past 12 years. Congratulations on a clean sweep in all 4 styles!!!

Linda Wu- you were great. So calm, cool and collected. I love seeing your growth in composure and confidence every time you compete with me. Wonderful dancing and wonderful improvement. Great strides! Congratulations on your top 2 finishes in standard and Latin!

Linda Powell - thank you for kicking off the week with me in the nightclub and country division. We had so many people that admired your country dancing, it was fun to see the reactions :). Congratulations on winning the mirror ball trophy for open nightclub!

Cyndi - the best topline and ease of movement of any competition to date. Your gold standard was the gold standard that I want to put forth with you from here on out. So much fun and so easy to dance with on a style that is notorious for being difficult and stressful on both partners. Congratulations on your wins!!

Heidi - the best you have ever danced at a competition! So proud of your progress and with how you maintained your calm and stayed present in the moment. Congratulations on your top 3 finishes in all styles!

Aylin Rose - thank you for dancing with daddy. For being my Cinderella and for showing people your loving spirit. “So this is love”. I will cherish this memory for ever. ❤️
