Goal Accomplished: NWTF Impacts Over 1 Million Acres in Less Than a Year
EDGEFIELD, S.C. — As the NWTF geared up to celebrate its historic 50th Anniversary all year in 2023, the federation set out to positively impact 1 million acres from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. The NWTF officially surpassed the unprecedented 1-million-acre goal on Dec. 18, and as of today, has 1,009,053 positively impacted acres reported and is validating additional acres before the year closes.

The Officers and Board Members of Turkeys for Tomorrow (TFT) would like to announce Brad Clay of Edmond, OK has been selected as the newest TFT Board Member. Brad brings with him a devotion of wild turkey conservation and spreading the word of Christ. Brad enjoys speaking to large audiences and has utilized this talent to promote conservation, ethical hunting, and the ministry. Brad is the owner of Full Strut Media and the host of Final Descent Outdoors, an outreach program he established.  Final Descent Outdoors provides youth an opportunity to be exposed to the outdoors and the outdoor ministry. Final Descent Outdoors is currently one of the most viewed programs on the Pursuit Channel and is seen in 40 million homes. While growing up in Oklahoma, Brad recalls many mornings of countless gobbles across the cottonwood bottoms found on his family’s ranch. Brad has stated that 10 years ago if you gave him an hour to harvest a Rio Grande turkey it would be no problem. Sadly, that is no longer the case.  The lack of turkeys on the family ranch is what motivated Brad to look for a solution. Brad demands his 4 kids be able to experience the same sights and sounds.  He found the solution in TFT and the work they are doing to save the wild turkey. There is no doubt that Brad will play a vital role in TFT and will prove to be an invaluable asset to the organization. Welcome to TFT Brad and we look forward to what the future holds.

The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is a national nonprofit conservation and hunting organization that has worked for the conservation of the wild turkey and preservation of the hunting tradition since 1973.
