Meet Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist, the husband-and-wife songwriting duo behind Cincinnati’s beloved band Over the Rhine. For more than three decades, their deeply personal blend of folk, Americana, and poetic storytelling has earned them a devoted following across the country. Through unforgettable songs, thoughtful lyrics, and a sound uniquely their own, Linford and Karin have become two of Cincinnati’s most treasured musical voices.

Welcome to the 2026-2027 Season! Here’s a sneak peek at the local artists that will be involved with the creation of The Kaplan New Works Series.

The Kaplan New Works Series opens September 18-26, 2026 and will consist of four world-premiere works. Two of those will be inspired by the works of local artists Gee Horton and Michael Stillion. We had the pleasure of sitting down with them at the Contemporary Arts Center to get a look into their artistic style, inspirations, and how they think their art can translated into movement. Their exhibitions are on display at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center through August 30, 2026.
