West Virginia Motor Speedway last night with the Save A Lot American All-Star Series Presented by PPM Racing Products in the Velocity Race Car Chassis.

First time there and what a beautiful facility. The track was smooth and fast with 37 Crates on hand for the annual UBB Miners Memorial 60-lapper.

Qualified — 3rd in group�Heat — 2️⃣ ➡️ 2️⃣�Feature — 5️⃣ ➡️ Tail ➡️ 3️⃣

Started the feature in a great spot but got caught up in an incident on lap one, sending him to the tail. With some damage and a stacked field, the crew wasn’t sure what to expect from there.

Nicholas put his head down and went to work, working his way back through the field to a solid 3rd place finish. Heck of a run and a great recovery!

Big thanks again to Dave and Cindy Hodge Cathell and Phillip Skyler Ramirez. You guys are something else, and we’re incredibly grateful for you!

Big shoutout to Dave and Cindy Hodge Cathell and Phillip Skyler Ramirez for ALL the help tonight!

Cindy and Dave hung out with us all night and helped with whatever we needed, and after the races, all three of them stuck around until well after 3:30 AM to help get the car turned around for tomorrow…today…whatever.

You all didn’t have to stick around - we’re grateful for you and the time you gave to help us out. We appreciate you more than you know! 🙌

Nicholas Byrd, of Cincinnati, OH is set on go for Friday night with the AAS! The young start is close to getting his first victory and might get it done this week! The rest of his weekend after Friday is questionable, but we may see him battling it out with us all weekend long!

Friday, September 4th will be the UBB Miners Memorial presented in part by Velocity Race Car Chassis paying $5,000 to win at West Virginia Motor Speedway as part of the Hillbilly Weekend, Saturday, September 5th for the 8th Annual Crystal Cup Night #1 at Natural Bridge Speedway paying $5,000 to win, and Sunday, September 6th for the 8th Annual Crystal Cup Night #2 Presented in Part by Western Excavation at Wythe Raceway paying $7,000 to win! The best average finisher from all three nights will receive a drum of VP X85! Circle City Raceway last night in the MS Motorsports Modified with the Northern Allstars Series.

The car was too free early on, making for a tough qualifying run and heat. Started deep in the field for the feature and worked up to a 6️⃣th place finish in a stout field of cars.
