Our 6th Annual Rally in the Valley Competition is coming up on September 12th!!!!!
We’ll have four difficulty categories:
Recreational (VB-V2) Intermediate(V3-V5) Advanced(V5-V7) Open(V7+)
3 Gender Divisions:
Men’s
Women’s
Nonbinary
The competition will follow a modified redpoint format with 8-10 boulders exclusive to each category. Each boulder will have a 4 point start, with a zone and top hold to score points. You’ll have three hours and unlimited attempts to try your boulders, followed by an Open finals round for our highest-scoring open competitors. Cash Prizes available for the Open Finalists
When you arrive for the competition, you will receive a scorecard. You will write your name, and select your category and gender division. Please use your best judgement and be honest when selecting your category to make sure the competition is fun and fair for everyone.
For each of your assigned boulders, you will track the amount of Zones, Tops, and the amount of attempts. You’ll turn your scorecard in at the front desk when finishes, and we will score it. When scoring your scorecard, your first score is the total number of tops you controlled within all your assigned boulders. If there is a tie on the number of tops, we move to counting the zones. If there is a third tie, we will compare attempts to top.
