Grounds Crew is starting an effort to enhance the batters boxes. In the past we have seen issues with the batters boxes having significant issues wearing out over the season. Thank you to Matt Klausing and Tom Taney for leading the charge and installing a clay base under the batters boxes and catchers area to prevent the ground from wearing out and causing holes on Field #4. We will be doing this to each field over the next few days. If you see us digging out a big section of the field.....just know we havent gone crazy!

We would like to welcome the addition of our Field lining Robot to Schott Field. Because of the hard working parents volunteering and taking time out of their lives to help us raise money we are able to enhance our facilities and the overall environment for our young student athletes.

Thank you to Greg Hinkle and Matt Klausing for the help filling in the logo this morning.

Special thanks to Jake Rudemiller for monitoring the robot activities as well.

Good Evening,

We have had a lot of questions around when the dirt will be moved on the fields so that teams will be able to practice. It has been extremely wet up at Schott Field with the temperature swings and abundance of rain/snow. In order for us to limit damage to the grass areas we have been waiting on it to dry out enough to get some equipment out on the fields to spread the piles and regrade the fields.

Good news is we were able to open up the dirt today to allow the fields to dry a good amount. Our dirt guy is coming tomorrow to begin spreading the dirt. We hope to be fully operational by the end of the week.

New at Schott field:
1. We have completed all concrete work in all dugouts for all 4 fields.
2. We have purchased and assembled brand new benches for each dugout. We plan to have these bolted down before the first games.

What is coming:
1. We have some ruts in some of the grass areas from the equipment that completed the concrete work.
2. We will be rolling these out as soon as the ground hardens up a bit.

2025 season kicking off with adding new benches to the new concrete dugouts! Schott Field is going to look awesome this...

Had to call in the BIG MAN today. Bags delivered when the rain was starting. Shout out to Sawyer (with a little help from his dad) for helping move 120 bags of various materials for the 2024 baseball season across Schott with the gator.

Baseball and Softball 2024 seasons are on the horizon! We opened up the fields today, they are looking great!

Schott Field clean up day is 3/9 from 8 am to 12 pm. If you have 30 minutes, an hour, or 4 hours please come up and help out!

We are in need of some additional members of the grounds crew. If you are interested and have some time during the weeks to assist with field prep and or watering please reach out to Neil Royer or Donny Kuchey and they will get you squared away.
