It's a momentous occasion, as Velocity, Tsunami, Samurai, and Firestorm have all secured their spots in the playoffs. Congratulations to these teams on their outstanding performances.
Velocity had four primary players and secured its thirteenth win of the season. They have momentum going into the playoffs, riding a six-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, the Samurai followed up last season's sixth-place finish with a trip to the playoffs. Although the Samurai had all its starters, they hit a bump in the road, losing to the Airstrike in their final game of the regular season. They need to shift the momentum on Championship Saturday.
Airstrike forfeited their FOURTH game this season, which resulted in the Commissioner demoting its captain.
Despite not having their four primary players, Firestorm and Tsunami demonstrated their dedication by fielding a full roster, ensuring there were no automatic outs or forfeits in their games.
Tsunami and Swarm had an 11-inning brawl in the first game, and Tsunami swept the series. It was a hard-fought series between both teams.
An offensive producer for the Swarm canceled at the last minute due to an illness. The late notification didn't give the team enough time to activate a player from the inactive roster, which led to getting swept by the Tsunami and ending their chance at the playoffs.
Finally, seven-year-old AAW Ball Boy Loukas Reeves played for the Airstrike and got on base with a deep fly ball for a single in what will go down as one of the highlights from the day.
