Coach Adam is putting his brain and body to the test! 🧠⚡

While reacting to lights on the Dynavision board, Adam is also watching the T-Scope, where math equations appear on the screen that he must solve in real time.

This dual-task challenge forces the brain to process information, make decisions, and solve problems while the body is moving. Training multiple systems at once helps improve attention, processing speed, reaction time, and cognitive flexibility—skills that carry over into everyday life.

Stress Relief Thursday with Coach Luke 🧘♂️

Tight shoulders and upper back muscles can contribute to stress, poor posture, and restricted movement. Today, Coach Luke is using the TRX to perform a lat stretch, a great way to open up the muscles along the sides of the back, shoulders, and rib cage.

This stretch can help improve overhead mobility, reduce upper-body tension, and counteract the effects of sitting, working at a desk, or daily activities that leave the shoulders feeling stiff. Focus on slow breathing and allow the stretch to gently lengthen the muscles with each exhale.

Coach Adam is taking on one of our favorite brain challenges! 🧠⚡

Using the Dynavision board, Adam must react whenever a green light appears. But there's a catch—after hitting the light, he has to look at the Stroop board and identify the COLOR of the word, not what the word says.

For example, the word "GREEN" might be written in red text. The correct answer is red, not green.

This type of dual-task training challenges attention, processing speed, reaction time, and cognitive flexibility while the body is moving. It's a great example of how we train the brain and body together at Activate Brain & Body.

Stress Relief Thursday with Coach Luke 🧘♂️

Stress doesn't just affect the mind—it can create tension throughout the body, especially in the hips, lower back, and upper body. Today, Coach Luke is demonstrating a kneeling hip flexor stretch with a twist while holding a kettlebell, helping improve hip mobility, open up the torso, and encourage better posture.

This movement combines stretching, rotation, and stability to release built-up tension from long hours of sitting while promoting better movement and body awareness. Take a few slow breaths, move with control, and give your body a chance to reset.
