Christmas Poem 2025

It's the most wonderful time of the year...
Calories don't count, so nothing to fear!

I look out the window and see the white flurries...
And the joyful crowds, in thier holiday scurries.

No time to spare, I'm late once more...
Tripping over ornaments, as I run for the door!

Panic set in, from the moment I woke...
"Why'd I wait to shop, til
Mary's water broke??!"

Up in the sky, Rudolph takes flight...
as we sing Andy’s carols , all through the night!

"With those Holiday greetings...
And gay happy meetings." 🎵

Then Santa Clause spreading his holiday cheer...
Its the most wonderful time, of the whole year!!!

Wrapping gifts becomes a battle, and socks are the prize...
Fruitcake becomes dessert, and straight to the thighs.

The kitchen’s a mess, but laughter won’t die,
Because nothing beats ham… and my niece's key lime pie!

Remember what I said, above in line two...
Calories don't count, so grab plate number 2!!!

Stretchy pants are the best, so have no fear...
Diets can wait, until the new year!

Merry Christmas! Eat, drink, and be Happy!! You’re the best gift I didn’t have to wrap!

Thanksgiving Poem 2025:

There once was a turkey who’s name was Bob,…
Born on a farm but left for of a job.

He tried to serve ice cream as one of his dreams…
But was told he looks better, alongside green beans.

Next, all he wanted, was to become a great host…
But no one would listen, rather insisted to toast.

So, he grabbed a guitar and started a band…
But his fans would surround him, with forks in each hand.

Maybe a lifeguard could be his next phase…
But no one offered sunscreen, instead maple glaze.

He tried to work security of the near grocery store…
But guarded only potatoes, and not too much more.

Next was a pilot, to fly through the sky…
But each time he landed, was greeted with pie.

After all this he thought, “what should I do?”
“Should I start serving milk and learn how to Moo?”

But his chest was broad and his presence was grand…
So he was employed as the ruler, of this white linen land.

He was the King of the table and took to his place…
With his majestic glow and everlasting grace.

Surrounded by love, and as happy as can be...
Until Bob yelled from his throne “is this feast about me?”

Happy Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly grateful to have you all in my life.

Christmas 2025

'Twas two days before Christmas and everywhere I looked...
All flights were delayed and all over-booked.

The lines were endless, and the computers were down...
All Hoping to beat Santa, coming to town.

One seat opened, so I ran for the door...
finding space for my luggage, became the next chore.

With a rev and a boom we took to the sky...
Called Mom to heat the ham, and niece to make pie.

After 30 hours of travel, I ran through the door...
In time for the egg nog and a food feast galore.

But 5 minutes later, I thought I was dreaming...
When across the house, I heard Santa screaming.

It wasn't Rudolph or some Holiday games...
but Santa in the chimney, and his bum in the flames.

I guess with the commotion and desire to eat...
We forgot Santa's entrance, and to turn down the heat.

Luckily for Santa, I brought extra suits...
A hat and some gloves, and even black boots.

We asked him to stay, and enjoy our feast...
but whoa..Santa can eat, like a Holiday Beast!!

After dinner, it was time to say good-bye...
All was forgiven, and he took to the sky.

It's a magical day, to cherish new friends and old...
Eat everything in sight, as the stories unfold.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All, and thank you for being a cherished gift in my life.

Thanksgiving Poem 2024

'Twas a day that began with a windy snow flurry...
Slightly overslept, so now in a hurry.

A forecast of events, soon to unfold...
A riptide of chaos, by the young and the old.

Carving the turkey as we took to our seat...
The greatest of tails, that remain quite the feat.

Mom says kindly, "Would you please pass the cheese?"
Then dad throws a roll, with the slightest of ease.

The food fight is on, as we all take our part...
The dining room walls become splattered bean art.

Potatoes find their home smashed in my face...
Food's disappearing at a ravaging pace.

There's Gravy on the chair...
And even more in my hair.

Then, just when we thought the frenzy was done...
My family looks around for a little more fun.

My sis stands up, with a twinkle in her eye...
"Don't forget the pie..."
as it flies through the sky!

Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Food Fighting, and Happy Times with those you love!! Thank you for being part of my life and the incredible memories.

This week marks a precious moment in my career that I finished my first world cup, having swum in all Team events. This was the first time in over 20 years. Once again, I realize the gifts Artistic Swimming continues to give my life. There are so many wonderful reflections I take away from this competition to help me learn, grow, and become a better athlete, coach, and person. Although parts were difficult, terrifying, and even disappointing, I was given an opportunity that no one can ever take away from me. I swam in the 2024 PARIS OLYMPIC GAMES POOL!!! I cannot thank World Aquatics, United States Artistic Swimming, my first coaches Dee and Laurie, and my current coaches, Andrea, Lara, Megan, Hiea-Yoon, and Victor for taking the risk to swim me. Of course, thank you to Chris and my beloved club, the Santa Clara Artistic Swimming Club for continuing to support me on this journey, while I am away. ….All the smiles, messages from my friends, family, audience, and social media friends truly gave my strength. ..and OF COURSE my heroes, my teammates…You are the strongest army and the ones that will never stop fighting for our team. You are the greatest team in the world and the reason my smile grows with every breath I take.
I continue to dream and am afraid that one day I will wake up. However, I realize that’s impossible. The memories and the opportunities Artistic Swimming has given me are mine to hold dear, for the rest of my life and will only carry on forever.
After competing at the world cup I see it’s such a beautiful and undeniably momentous time for our sport. We have new rules, new events, new challenges, and of course very dear to my heart… more participation and more inclusion of men competing in the sport. As I reflect back at my career, the athletes that I have seen, and the wonderful experiences, there has been an athlete that has been at all of my world Championships, competitions and camps all of the world, and has undeniably helped with the growth of the sport. Over 20 years ago, I met an incredible young kid (who was about 6 or 7) that would someday become a champion ..a WORLD CHAMPION, and also a champion for the sport, and for inclusion.

After competing at the world cup I see it’s such a beautiful and undeniably momentous  time for our sport. We have new rules, new events, new challenges, and of course very dear to my heart… more participation and more inclusion of men competing in the sport. As I reflect back at my career, the athletes that I have seen, and the wonderful experiences, there has been an athlete that has been at all of my world Championships, competitions and camps all of the world, and has undeniably helped with the growth of the sport. Over 20 years ago, I met an incredible young kid (who was about 6 or 7) that would someday become a champion ..a WORLD CHAMPION, and also a champion for the sport, and for inclusion.

 Giorgio Minisini. wasn’t at this competition, but I see his inspiration represented throughout the competition. As a male athlete, his inclusion in the Olympic Games, could ignite a flame in our sport for all athletes. This is not limited to boys or girls, but to all athletes that dare to dream and demolish the walls of exclusion. This inspiration is what pushes us as men in the sport and promotes  the growth of our sport. For the first time in the history of Artistic Swimming, men can compete at the Olympic Games, but we need to seize the opportunity that so many people have fought for!!

As A community, we have a beautiful opportunity to write history. There were so many incredible teams at this World Cup, but few that included men. Even now,  I understand it may be scary to include men in the team events. However, no matter what amount of fear a coach may have, I guarantee their male athletes have experienced that fear, and insecurity, 100 times more. Change is difficult and doesn’t happen with convenience, but rather as an army willing to fight against that fear and plant a seed of growth. I would love to see Giorgio at the Olympics, but also all countries having the courage to change history, get more men involved, ignite a spark that will invoke that change in our sport.
Ow prep for next World Cup in Markham, Canada. My family will be there and even my dad will see me compete for the first time in 20 years! WHOA!! More precious moments adding to Bank!
