Our corporate lawyer Craig bell who has represented upland since like 1990 has handed all that. Dad knows all the legal junk as I call it. I’m still trying to get it all down so if u have law questions I suggest u ask him. This was not a personal attack to u or ur family. I myself have close to 45 years of memories, but now that’s ended in this battle. Just know that most of Amelia, dinwiddie, and chesterfield clubs know what happened and I’m sure it’s not going to be ending well for Upland Hunters Association.

How so the exit interview as been the same for years. “Why are ur leaving the club” we set on a stand do like 12 hours and didn’t here a dog. That speaks volumes. And that has been the same answer for years. Yet I have and we as a club seen a crap ton of deer on our cameras.

I don’t know what to tell you about people saying they don’t hear the dogs. It’s awfully funny that the GPS tracks the dogs and shows them running but no one sees or hears dogs. Anyway it’s not all about that, Brandon did his hunts last year, offered his dogs this year and himself if he could depending on work. But instead the board decided to kick him out completely? Truly an injustice done to the grandson of someone that busted his butt for upland hunters Association.

and Gilbert also being kicked out is a slap in the face. Gilbert worked his butt off for several years getting new members. It was not in his control that he got sick in February and was fighting for his life. Sorry he could not show members around, but he did get six new members this year so far. So you cannot say he did not do his job. Oh and by the way, while he was in The hospital in a coma on a breathing machine nobody bothered to call and offer condolences ask if they could do anything, nothing.

How are the exit interviews going to go this year when y’all have no dogs? Give a free membership to someone that has 3 dogs, but kick out the one that has 20 dogs?

Talk to ur son we asked for the gps Records and he said to better place the stands to close off the spots he refused. It’s bigger than just u and me I am just one vote. Don’t signal me out. This was data collected by the members that came to the board to make this a vote. As in the letters this was not an easy decision.

And Brandon and I both tried to contact board members. We couldn't get anyone to answer calls or texts, so how can it be explained if we can't talk to someone?

It's the END OF AN ERA

The Britten / Bishop family has been removed from the membership of Upland Hunters Association. A hunt club that my father, Red Britten, joined in the early 60's and worked til his last days trying to make it into a great club. Now due to an injustice by Todd Mallalieu, Mark Haskins, Andrew Haskins, David Johnson, Ronnie Fletcher, and the other board members the family is done. My father, Red Britten, is probably in heaven talking about this and can't believe this has been done. The actions taken by "The Board" only confirms my understanding as to why they lose over 1/4 of their membership each and every year. In addition, a club that has members that SHOOT HUNTING DOGS, then cover it up and do not take legal action on said member. Good luck to those hunters that continue to be a part of the club. It is turning into a political mess, and a still hunting club, after over 50 years as a dog running club.
