🌊 WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THREE OF NATURE’S BEST TOOLS FOR CLEANING OUR INDIAN RIVER ARE ALREADY HERE?
🐚 CLAMS.
🦪 OYSTERS.
🌿 MANGROVES.
And they’re not just part of the scenery — they’re working.
🦪 OYSTERS = NATURAL FILTERS
Oysters filter water, removing particles and helping improve water clarity. Oyster reefs also create structure and habitat for fish, crabs, and countless other marine creatures.
🐚 CLAMS = BURIED FILTERS
Clams filter water from the bottom, helping improve water quality and support healthier bottom habitat. Restoration efforts can put large numbers of clams back where they can do their job.
🌿 MANGROVES = NATURE’S SHORELINE DEFENSE
Their roots trap sediment, stabilize shorelines, reduce erosion, and provide critical nursery habitat for young fish and wildlife.

Why This Popping Cork Rig Catches More Speckled Trout!
If you're fishing the Indian River Lagoon, don't just cast into the grass. Target clean sand pockets next to the grass—that's where trout often ambush shrimp and baitfish.
✅ Fish an orange popping cork ✅ 20–30" leader ✅ DOA Shrimp underneath ✅ Pop it once or twice, then let it sit. ✅ Most strikes happen during the pause!
The sound of the cork imitates feeding fish, drawing trout in from the grass. When they see that shrimp drift naturally over the sand, it's game on!
