Howdy 🤠 : Breaking down my double leg 🤼

There’s a lot lot lot more to this, but here’s some tips to get your going! 👇🏾

NOTES 📝
• A big part of my success with this technique is a willingness to fire. Fire it off lots in practice so I can figure out where it needed work, and fire in competition so I was actually applying my work
• It took me a while to get to this point, to be able to fire 3 seconds into my quarter final match at the Olympic Trials against a formidable opponent (Alyssa is really really good and beat me the last time we wrestled - and the majority of the times we wrestled 😂😵‍💫). Earlier in my career I would have faked way more than was necessary to find my opening. But through a helluva lot of practice I learned to feel my openings and stop second guessing. & that’s something I’m proud of 🙂
• Whatever you do, keep running/driving through your feet

Moral of the story: just keep trying, in both high and low pressure situations, and you’ll work your s**t out ⚡️

San Diego native Dominick Cruz will be featured in a five-round bantamweight (135 pounds) bout against Marlon “Chito” Vera, who lives and trains out of Orange County.

Tickets go on sale this morning, and given how recent UFC events have played out as well as the local flavor involved with Cruz/Vera, fans should expect a full house.

Cruz (24-3-0) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Pedro Munhoz at UFC 259 last December and says he is feeling as good physically as he has in “years” after being hampered by a string of injuries.

“Feeling 100 percent,” said Cruz, who splits time between a home in Las Vegas and San Diego, where he trains at Victory MMA. “I haven’t had the opportunity to really train through a string of fights in a while so that’s been great. Just to be able to train — sparring, wrestling — and have no setbacks, it feels so different for me.”

For the 37-year old Cruz, a strong performance in victory would remind everyone that he remains a major force and potentially set him up for another title shot.
