Meet your new pool manager, Kara!

My name is Kara Thurman and I am so excited for the 2026 pool season! My family and I have been members of Ridgewood for 10 seasons.

I live and work here in Montgomery County. Since I am a teacher, my summer availability makes this position as Pool Manager feasible. By the time the pool opens, I will have completed a Certified Pool Operator course/ certification to ensure the pool is run safely!

I love coffee, being outside, reading and running. I am very detail oriented and proactive. I have great work ethic and would rather do a task right than to do it twice!!

I can’t wait for you to meet and read introductions for each of our staff as well. We have some of the most amazing teens working for us this summer. Together, we will hold each other accountable and make sure Ridgewood is safe and clean for members and their guests.

Making progress- we can see the lines in the bottom of the pool! In addition, pressure washing of the pool deck has commenced, look at the difference in the cement color! Big thanks to our new pool manager Kara and the guards for getting this project underway! Before you know it, we will be swimming!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our board meeting last night!

We’re excited to share that we were able to avoid increasing dues this year; something we know is important to our membership.

We’re also bringing back our Early Payment Discount:

💦 Pay by April 1 and save $20
Dues: $545

After April 1: $565

📅 All dues must be paid by May 1
A $75 late fee will be added after May 1.
