A little recap of the weekend ๐๐ป
Talin Torres, Kodie Dean, Blaine Walls, Vivian Lawson and more earn Chowchilla glory on Sunday
Chowchilla, CAโฆThe IRM Chowchilla Barn Burner presented by Silva Brothers Custom Chopping hosted its first double header of the season this past weekend.
In the end it was Fresno driver Talin Torres picking up victory in the 500 Outlaw Kart finale during Sundayโs event, which was presented by Central Valley AG Repair.
Torres drove the Tammy Jo Motorsports Funding No. 45 to a flag-to-flag win over Wyatt Moody, Christian Hickman, Tylor Henson and Chris Timberlake.
Saturdayโs opening night was presented by Madera AG Services and saw Eric Bothelo secure his second 500 Kart win of the Chowchilla campaign.
The Caged Clones eventually wrapped up on the weekend on Sunday and featured some tremendous competition once again. Brayden Diaz, Kodie Dean, Timmy Crews, Andrew Alves and others battled tooth and nail for the win.
Dean ended up taking the lead around the halfway point and fended off all challengers for the victory. It was a weekend sweep for Dean, who also won on Saturday. A strong field once again of 28 Caged Clones were on hand for the final night.
The 250 Outlaw Karts also provided several thrills of their own on Sunday. Diggy Tellez led the opening few circuits, until Blaine Walls charged into the top spot on lap four. Landon King then joined the action and made it a close race up front. King jumped to the inside on the final corner, but contact ensued between the duo.
King ended up crossing the line first but was docked two spots for a rough driving call. This gave the win to Walls over Maclane Lourenco and King. Saturdayโs opener was pocketed by King.
Oakdaleโs Frank Correia ended up with a weekend sweep of the Clone division after winning Sundayโs finale over Dustin Silva, Nathaniel Cardinalli, Nicholas Warner and Austin Swearengin.
Fresnoโs Vivian Lawson also recorded a clean sweep of the Box Stock class during the weekend. It also gave her three straight wins to start the Chowchilla Barn Burner season. Rounding out the top-five on Sunday were Mackcen Roush, Bradley Brink, Luke White and Wade Boertje.
Fellow winners on Sunday included Richie Goulart with the Pure Stock class and Stock Appearing, Colton Machado in Junior Flat, Ayden James Siaz in Beginner Box and Rio Jacobsen in Beginner Flat.
The IRM Chowchilla Barn Burner presented by Silva Brothers Chopping returns to action this weekend with the second double header of the season. Saturdayโs program is presented by NH3 Plus, while Sundayโs event is presented by Clean Brothers Site Services.
