From Mayor Bill and staff we encourage everyone to stay safe, informed and alert as we prepare for the upcoming winter weather advisory.

Preparation & Safety:

◽Stay Informed: Monitor local weather forecasts and official alerts. Check road conditions using the 511LA website.

◽Prepare an Emergency Kit: Ensure you have necessary supplies, including food, water, blankets, extra clothing, a flashlight, and a first-aid kit.

◽Prevent Power Outages/Generator Safety: Be prepared for potential power loss. If using a generator, operate it outdoors in a well-ventilated area to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

◽Travel Precautions: Avoid travel if possible. If you must drive, use extreme caution and carry emergency items in your vehicle.

◽Protect Pipes, and Pets: Take necessary steps to protect exposed pipes, ensure pets have warm shelter.
