In case you are not aware of how the catholic charities food giveaway works, here are the guidelines. First there are two forms that need to be filled out so that you can be entered into the computer system. These forms are filled out annually so once you fill it out, you don't have to do them again until next year. The income guidelines are as follows:

5 $5,964.00 $71,558.00
6 $6,839.00 $82,066.00

8 $8,591.00 $103,082.00
If household size exceeds 8, add $876.00 (monthly) or $10,508 (annually)for each additional household member.
Therefore if you income is equal to these numbers or below, you are eligible for a box of food (usually around 20 #). The food is mostly canned meats, vegetables, pasta and pasta sauce, mac & cheese, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, and usually some frozen foods such as fish or berries. The food giveaways are held each month on the second Tuesday unless a holiday or election conflicts with this schedule. Please bring your proof of income with you along with the last 4 digits of your social security number as well as your dependents. You need only to show the host your income statement. We do not keep it. If for any reason you cannot pick up your box of food, you can sign a proxy to have someone pick it up for you. If you have any questions, call 304-655-8625. The next giveaway will be next Tuesday, 8/11 from noon until 2:00 P.M. at the park.

Check out the Air Quality Monitor located at The Upper West Fork Park!

This map shows fine particle pollution (PM2.5) from wildfires and other sources. It provides a public resource of information to best prepare and manage wildfire season. Developed in a joint partnership between the EPA and USFS.

💧💧 FREE WATER FOR MOUNT ZION PSD RESIDENTS 💧💧

FREE bottled water will be available TOMORROW - Wednesday, July 22 - for Mount Zion PSD residents who have been without water.

📍 PICKUP LOCATIONS:
💧 Upper West Fork Park (Starting at 8:00 a.m.)
💧 Arnoldsburg Elementary School (Starting at 9:00 a.m.)

🎉 We are VERY excited to share that Mount Zion PSD has reported that the problem has been FIXED! However, a Boil Water Advisory is imminent as the system returns to service, so this FREE bottled water will still be helpful to families in the coming days.

Each family may receive nearly 1,000 ounces of bottled water:
💧 3 cases of 8 oz. bottles
💧 1 case of 16.9 oz. bottles

When picking up water, please be prepared to provide:
➡️ The name listed on the Mount Zion PSD water bill
➡️ A phone number

🚗 NEED DELIVERY?
If you are unable to pick up water and may need assistance with delivery, please message the WVU Extension Calhoun County page. We cannot guarantee delivery, but we will do our best to connect available resources and volunteers with those who need assistance.

Our outside music event scheduled for this Saturday, July 18th is cancelled due to anticipated inclement weather. Our reschedule date is September 19th. So put this new date on your calendar and come out to enjoy an evening of fun, music, and food.6:00 to 9:00. Bring a chair and a big appetite.
