Chippewa Valleys Clear Water Judo and MMA

Chippewa Valleys Clear Water Judo and MMA Head Instructors Roy and Mary Gay have been training in the Martial Arts since 1988. The emphasis is on effective self-defense, not necessarily competition.

Both have Black Belts in Ryukyu Kempo, American Freestyle Karate, Kodokan Judo, and Japanese JuJitsu, Roy has a Black Belt in Aikido while Mary has a Brown Belt. Besides Head Instructors Roy and Mary we have our lead assistant instructor Kirby who works hard at most classes. He has been practicing Judo with Clear Water for nearly nine years and has reached the rank of Brown Belt. We teach multip

le styles of martial arts and mix for the best real world results. Although if interested we do encourage Judo competition, but it is not required. We tend to have smaller classes where we work in small groups or pairs. We expect students to be dressed and warmed up for class. We strive for a low-keyed class where everyone learns at their own pace and have fun learning. We also want to let you know our school is clean, modern and fully matted for safety since throwing and being thrown is generally happening in every class.
