🌊 MARINE MONDAY 🌊

Back-to-school is here, which means the days of spending every Saturday and Sunday on the lake are starting to disappear. 📚

But does that mean boating season is over?

Not even close!

Sometimes the best days on the water are just a couple hours:

🍔 Dinner on the boat
🛟 An hour of tubing after school
🌅 A sunset cruise
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Taking the family out before the homework starts

🚤 MARINE MONDAY!

Here's a question for the boat owners out there:

If you could change ONE thing about your current boat, what would it be?

More storage?

Bigger motor?

Different seating layout?

More fishing features?

Better shade?

More room?

Or something nobody else would think of?

WALKAROUND WEDNESDAY 🌊

Today we're taking a look at SY0426, a 2026 Sylvan X3 SLZ FG/TT.

There are a couple things about this one that I think are worth talking about.

First, the “FG” isn't just part of the model name.

FG = Fiberglass.

This X3 features Sylvan's fiberglass side panels and fencing, giving the boat a much more sleek, automotive-inspired look than the traditional stamped aluminum paneling you see on many pontoons. With the Black Metal Flake finish, I think this one really stands out on the water.

Then there's the SLZ layout.

The SLZ is built around lounging and entertaining, with seating arranged on both sides of the boat to give people multiple places to stretch out, relax and socialize. That's a pretty different experience than a more traditional fishing-oriented layout!

So if your ideal day on the water looks something like:

☀️ Cruising the lake
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Spending time with family
🎵 Music and friends
🏖️ Hanging out at the sandbar
🍔 Making a day of it

…the SLZ layout is worth taking a look at.

Underneath it all, this is a 23'8" X3 tritoon powered by a Mercury 150, giving you a nice combination of space, stability and performance. The X3 platform is rated for up to 250 HP.

17' or 18' ? Which would you choose? 🎣

One of the questions that comes up when looking at a fishing boat is whether it makes sense to step up into the next size.

An extra foot might not sound like much, but it can make a difference when you're thinking about fishing space, storage, passengers, towing, and how you plan to use the boat.

So I'm curious:

If you were choosing your next fishing boat, would you go with a 17' or an 18'?

And more importantly why?

Maybe you value easier towing and storage. Maybe you want the extra room for fishing with friends and family. Or maybe you just want as much fishing boat as you can get.

One of the biggest things I talk about with people looking for a boat is figuring out how you're actually going to use it before deciding what boat is right for you.

Are you mainly looking to fish? 🎣
Spend the day cruising with the family? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Or do a little bit of everything? 🌊

There isn't one boat that's perfect for everyone. The right boat is the one that fits your family, your lifestyle, and the memories you want to make on the water.

That's what I enjoy most about helping people find their boat! Making sure they're getting something they'll actually enjoy for years to come!
