The inaugural MonDucky Derby was a hit - thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting us! It was a close race and a nail biter at the end as three ducks were vying for the win. Congrats to ducky #2, Kasi Glidden🏆

We hope to be back with another bigger, better ducky derby next year!

Thanks to Gordon Cattle Company for the hamburgers, Bum Bums Porta Pots for the outdoor potty, and a big thanks to John Elliot for allowing us to take over your yard for the evening ⭐️

Next up, our PRCA Rodeo in August. Mark your calendars and we’ll see you 8/6 and 8/7!

⏱️ Approximately 15 minutes of edge-of-your-seat duck racing action!

🐥🏇 “And They’re Off - to the water!” The FIRST EVER MonDucky Derby is coming to Chinook! 🏇🐥
Mark your calendars for Friday, June 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and get ready for the most exciting few minutes ever seen in an irrigation canal! 🌊😂

We’re releasing (up to) 252 horse rubber duckies into the canal and racing them downstream to the finish line at John Elliott’s shop in Chinook.

🎟 Ducks are $20 each - only 252 will be sold
💰 Winning duck takes home $1k + ultimate MonDucky Derby bragging rights
🌭 A free-will donation BBQ will follow the race

*In case of tie, the tied ducks will get restarted at the beginning for a run-off!

Grab your friend, wear some Derby attire, and come cheer on your champion racer! Big hats, fast ducks, and small-town fun — what more could you ask for?

Our rodeo wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors, especially Moxley Construction! Last year (as much as we don’t want to remember), our arena was flooded with rain to the point it would be unusable. Dan and crew jumped in without hesitation and replaced our entire ground setup in less than 24 hours so the show could go on. Dan, Sharmon, and the rest of the team, we appreciate you! Attention graduating seniors! We have started the Bear Paw Roundup Scholarship in Memory of Trapper Skoyen. The purpose of the scholarship is to support students pursuing rodeo, agriculture, and/or the trades as a way of life, and who contribute to their community - like Trap did so well!

This scholarship is for graduating seniors from Blaine, Phillips, Hill, or Chouteau counties who are pursuing an agriculture or trade degree and/or are participating in college rodeo.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded in 2026.
