Thirty-two years ago our family started breeding and showing Arabian horses and put up a stable near Bidwell Park known as Carras Arabians. Over the years the business has grown, shifted, evolved ---- all the while being a place that has provided us tremendous amounts of joy. We're happy to share with you that we have moved in a new direction. We've taken on a very large, but very fulfilling proj

ect and added on stalls, rebuilt barns, redesigned both landscaping and storage facilities, happily welcomed an on-site ranch manager. All of the changes not only leaving us with a new look, but a new name...Chico Parkside Stables. Still located at the end of Cactus Avenue, we have opened up boarding facilities to horse owners, and work to provide a very special place for horses and their owners. We are still going to be actively involved with breeding horses as Carras Arabians, and riding our own horses. If you're interested in stopping by, just give a ring or send us a note on facebook. **** VARIAN ARABIANS ANNOUNCEMENT ***

We are excited to announce that the Sheila Varian Tribute at the Cow Palace will be LIVE STREAMED Saturday, October 14th at 6pm PT! The Cow Palace is honoring Sheila as the first women to "win the world" on its All Women's Rodeo night. The tribute will include never-before-seen footage of Sheila and Ronteza.

Special thanks to Nan and Dick Walden of Rancho Sonado Arabians for not only making this live stream possible, but also bringing V horses to the tribute.

Last weekend was the celebration of the 100th year of the pro Red Bluff Rodeo! This year was made even more special to Chico Parkside as one of our very own team members, Mia and her beautiful mare Blue, were selected as one of the ceremonial flag bearers. Another reason to be proud of you and Blue! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
