See Captain America: The First Avenger for FREE at CARD's Movies in the Park.

The fun starts at 6 PM with food trucks, free popcorn and family-friendly activities.

The film starts when the sun goes down, around 7:15 PM.

This evening will also include a special tribute to first responders. We look forward to recognizing the Chico Fire Department, Chico Police Department, V.I.P.S, veterans, and other first responders in attendance. ❤️

So bring your friends, family, picnic blankets, and comfiest folding chairs for a stellar night of entertainment under the stars.

Tomorrow is an important day of remembrance and community, and we are honored to offer a special event for us to come together as a community.

The evening will include a special tribute recognizing those who serve our community, including the Chico Fire Department, Chico Police Department, V.I.P.S., veterans, and other first responders in attendance. Then, we'll view a movie on the big screen: Captain America: The First Avenger!🍿

The club kicks off its fall adventures on:

🥾 September 15th for Trackers (grades 1-3)
🎒 September 16th for Pathfinders (grades 4-5)
🗻 September 17th for Trailblazers (grades 6-8)

Give your kids the gift of the great outdoors this season with PESC.

They'll learn important survival and pathfinding skills in Bidwell Park while strengthening their connection to nature!

Starting at 6 PM, CARD's September Movies in the Park offers family-friendly fun for everyone, featuring:

It's time to focus on fun this fall with CARD's NEW fall programs for children!

Get them exploring the outdoors, baking in a club, or playing with a team.

Here's what's new this season:

🏀 3v3 Indoor Basketball (grades 4-8), a new Sunday program

🍰 CARD Baking Club (ages 5-10), a new cooking and homeschool option

🔴 CSI Futsal (grades 3-8), a new Sunday program option

⚾️ CSI Baseball (grades 3-5), a new sports option

🥎 Little Batters (ages 5-7), a new sports option

🚩 Little Flag Football (ages 5-7), a new sport option

We’re thrilled to announce more ADA upgrades are complete!

Here is what’s new at Ho**er Oak:
🚗 Two brand-new ADA parking spots and one freshly upgraded spot.
🌉 Smooth concrete paths of travel and a new bridge connecting straight to the wheelchair ramp.
💧 A new ADA drinking fountain with a handy bottle filler at Picnic Site 1!

These upgrades were funded by CARD’s 2026 Fiscal Year ADA Improvements budget. Every year, we tackle a variety of new accessibility projects to improve access across our parks because our goal is to make every person feel seen, valued, and invited to join in, no matter their age, background, or ability. Having a great playground means making sure the path to get there is just as welcoming! We look forward to upgrading the playground itself in the coming years 😊

This is just one step in our ongoing work to make our parks more accessible, with more improvements on the horizon.
