This was a drill today I did which I really tried to emphasize with henry to keep his head up as he was dragging the ball backwards, trying to recreate a match scenario where he was being pressed by a player but still lifting his head up to find a team mate.

Todays session was with Henry Lynch of USAO, Left footed Centre Midfielder or Left wing back.. This is a small activation drill we started off with to get henrys touches and passes sharp before going into more intense drills.

A fun drill to end a tough session, Henry added this drill to the session, the coaching points were - Quick sharp turns - Accelerate as soon as you turn - small touches to turn and bigger touches to accelerate. The girls enjoyed this drill and were pretty exhausted after it. Looking forward to getting the team back together!⚽️

One of my favorite drills to do, good for technical skills but also has some conditioning involved too..

Really impressed with how Mikinzie has developed her skills over the past few months, Well done to you⚽️

I have used this drill with 8 year olds all the way up to College athletes..

Constantly working the basics here, control with one foot and pass it back with the opposite, being comfortable with the basics like these are what are going to help you see a noticeable difference in your game❗️

Two shot finishing drill. One habit I noticed at highschool level was the girls reactions to a miss-placed pass, a missed shot or even in some cases a good shot or pass. The idea behind this drill is after JC hits her first shot I am giving her no time to have a reaction to a good or bad shot because I am passing her another ball for a first time finish. This is a good drill for staying alert and focused and also trying to stay two steps ahead, Already thinking about what you have you have to do before recieving the ball⚽️ JC was one of our very talented Freshman (Now Sophmore) who will have a big part to play in the upcoming season❗️⚽️

Lexi has recently joined a team and has been playing Midfield, Lexi naturally is very comfortable on the ball. We are trying to re-create a game realistic drill here "escaping pressure".. as a midfielder its important you are comfortable enough to go left & right to escape the press of the opposition. We ended up advancing this drill to where Lexi would go to her right and then perform a dragback and quickly accelerate to go the opposite direction.. Getting the basics like these perfected, will really help her development in the game.. Good Job Lexi and keep improving❗️⚽️

What a journey, Glad to see so many of these girls improvements over the past couple of months.

Tough way to end it.

Myself and Henry couldnt of asked for a better group to make this such a memorable season. So much talent and on top of that some really great people on this team. So proud of these girls for such a good season.

Thank you to everybody at Chickasha who gave me and Henry this chance. The girls will be strong again next season without a doubt🟣
