Tonight was extremely productive. It was strictly grappling, one hour of Wrestling followed by one hour of No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu. We worked back pressure drills, sit out drills, and duck under drills followed by bump sweeps and then several live rounds of both Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. 🤼‍♂️🚫🥋

Today makes 7 years since my grandpa Tom left us, and with May 4th being International Firefighters Day and him being a retired firefighter I guess that was the perfect day to go out on. He also boxed when he was in the Navy, 12-1 with 7 KO's. The only other person besides myself in our family who had a competitive background in a combat sport. Those of you who are still lucky to have one of your grandpas in your life, cherish every moment and enjoy it while you can. You're lucky. 🥊🥊👨‍🚒🚒

We went 3-0-1 Sunday bringing our gyms record to 10-1-1, and I secured the W and won the belt!

My aunt Carla and uncle Bryan even drove 8 hours up here from Central Florida to come watch.
