For five unforgettable days in Colombia, five of us from CPD had the honor of standing alongside communities hit hard by the devastating earthquake. Together with CPD Women’s Soccer, and Colombian Fest Chicago, we raised over $9,000 to provide direct assistance to families and communities in need. 🇨🇴💙⚽️
We delivered over $5,000 in building materials—including cement, sand, and metal beams—to families living high in the mountains who had received little to no assistance because of how difficult their communities were to reach. These materials will help families begin rebuilding the homes they lost.
We also visited two nursing homes, providing thousands of dollars in adult diapers, bedsheets, toiletries, and other essential supplies. We spent time with children at a local soccer school, played soccer with them, donated soccer balls and gear, and provided groceries—including eggs, meat, and other necessities—to families whose parents have struggled to find work since the earthquake. ⚽️🙏
This mission was about much more than giving supplies. It was about showing up, standing together, and giving people hope when they needed it most.
