Discipline isn’t loud, but it’s obvious.

It’s the early mornings and late nights.
The extra workouts when nobody is watching.
The sacrifices, the consistency, and the commitment to a standard long before the victories arrive.

This weekend, that discipline paid off.

After winning his first U23 Freestyle National Championship, Massey Odiotti (.24 ) earned the opportunity to represent Team USA 🇺🇸 for his first time at the 2026 U23 Pan American Championships.

What makes this accomplishment special isn’t just the result, it’s the journey. He’s overcome adversity, learned from tough losses, stayed grounded in his faith, and maximized every opportunity for growth. His redshirt year wasn’t a pause in development; it was a masterclass in it.

I’ve coached a lot of talented athletes, but few have embraced the process the way he has. He chose daily discipline over shortcuts, development over comfort, and belief over doubt.

This is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. The medal is the result. The discipline is the story.

I am proud of you, Champ! The work continues. Next Stop: Lima, Peru 🛫🇵🇪

Top 2 but we NOT 2…

🌏 2025 U20 WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🌏

I’m incredibly proud of this team for its effort, grit, and record breaking performance this week at the World Championships. I feel blessed to have been able help lead and be a part of it. Out of the 10 weight classes we finished with 5 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals! Prior to this week, our country had never had more than 3 Gold medals in this event. We didn’t just win, we dominated! Huge credit to everyone behind the senses that supported us from the team leaders, coaches, athletic trainers, team doctors, families, and everyone that supported us back home. This team certainly left its mark on history and set the bar for future teams to come. These moments come and go quick, but there is no doubt that this is The Best U20 Men’s Freestyle Team On The Planet! Strength & Honor! 💪🏾🏆🇺🇸

I’m officially a girl dad. 🎀

This is cool! We are overjoyed to announce the arrival of our precious daughter, Sophia Almaz Futrell, whose name means “wisdom” in the Greek.

Last year alone there were over 500,000 self-published books, over 30 million podcasts episodes released, and a countless number of vlogs posted world wide. We live in a culture and a world that is overflowing with information and opinions, yet starving for true wisdom.

I pray that Sophia grows to have a personal relationship with Jesus at a young age and that she would be to be a voice of truth for her generation. May her life reflect the beauty of discernment, the power of prayer, and the light of wisdom that guides others to also want to know and share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our hearts are full, and we thank God for this incredible blessing! 💕
