One of the pillars of our campaign is inclusion. To commemorate the start of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month we commissioned local artist to create an anti hate banner for the downtown campaign office. We stand in solidarity with all those minority communities who experience discrimination and racism. All hate is ugly and must be stopped. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼 👨🏼‍⚖️ @ Chicago Downtown

Disappointing news today from the campaign trail. After the lengthy challenge to our petition by our former opponent was not decided in our favor, I must withdraw as a candidate for judge this cycle. With the unfortunate ruling we came up just a few signatures short of the required minimum to make it on the primary ballot. And though the decision is disheartening for me personally as well as for my supporters, I hope that together we can remain positive. The campaign committee will not be suspending its efforts, and with a reenergized base we will file again for a seat on the bench next year. I want to thank all the people who have worked so hard on the campaign, you generously gave up so much of your time and resources with the aim of improving the Cook County justice system. And though we face a setback today I hope that in the future you’ll continue to support me and the campaign, so that together we can accomplish our goal of ensuring equal justice for all. Thank you all for everything you’ve done and continue to do.

Attending the South Loop Safety and Security meeting with a packed house of very concerned residents. The increase in crime was the resounding concern and what the police, the community, and elected officials can do to make the neighborhood safer. Judges have a huge impact on what happens to offenders once they’re arrested, it’s important they understand these issues from all levels. I was surprised to find I was the only candidate from the 8th sub-circuit here listing to the people who lives are effected by these very serious issues. 👨🏼‍⚖️
