Warriors Boxing Promotions

Warriors Boxing Promotions This unwavering standard has allowed Warriors Boxing to thrive in a business where only the strong survive.

Launched in 2003, Florida-based Warrior’s Boxing operates under a simple philosophy - bring the best boxers in the world to fight fans, match them up in competitive bouts, and in doing so help re-establish the sport of boxing for a new generation. And with a series of successful pay-per-view, premium cable, nationally televised events, as well as countless packed houses to its credit, the Warriors

business model is working wonders in a sport that was sorely in need of innovation and energy. At its core, a promotional company is only as good as the fighters and fights it promotes. Warriors Boxing has delivered on all fronts, with outstanding bouts such as Fonfara-Campillo at US Cellular Field, Roberto Garcia vs. Victor Cayo at the Hialeah Race Track in Miami, the unforgettable Szpilka-Mollo series of fights, Lara-Molina at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Cayo-Peterson, Abraham-Miranda I & II, Miranda-Pavlik, Miranda-Green, Ibragimov-Briggs, Ibragimov-Klitschko, Urango-Hatton, Urango-Bailey, Cayo-Maidana and Ibragimov-Holyfield, etc. Warriors counts among its fighter stable no less than three current world champions in WBC Cruiserweight boss Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, IBF Light Middleweight Champion Carlos Molina and IBF Super Featherweight Champion Rances Barthelemy. Boxing can't survive without young stars to keep it going though, and Warriors has that end of the business covered, with junior middleweight Jonathan Gonzalez from Puerto Rico, as well as Eddie Ramirez and Jose Felix Quezada from Chicago making sure that boxing fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming years. Boxing fans can certainly breathe a sigh of relief that there is a company working tirelessly to bring them the best in the sport on a consistent basis. It's a new standard for boxing promotion that will put the sport back where it belongs on the world stage – finally.

Former cruiserweight world champion Mairis Briedis (25-1, 18 KOs) struggled to defeat fringe contender Noel Mikaelian (23-2, 10 KOs) by a controversial 12 round unanimous decision to win the WBC Diamond title in their quarterfinal fight in the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament at the UIC Pavilion, Chicago, Illinois. The scores were 116-110, 115-111 and 114-112. It was a hard fight to score due to all the head-butts and rabbit punches being thrown by Mikaelian. Photos by Lucas Buras.

Former cruiserweight world titlist Krzysztof Glowacki powered past Maksim Vlasov by unanimous decision in a rough, physical fight to advance to the semifinals of the World Boxing Super Series eight-man tournament's second season on Saturday night at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.

Glowacki, the big crowd favorite thanks to Chicago's large Polish community, also won a vacant interim cruiserweight world title by scores of 118-110, 117-110 and 115-112. Photos by Lucas Buras.
