***VICTORY MONDAY***

The lights were bright, the fans were roaring, and the Sidewinders were victorious!

After a 2-game skid, we delivered a much-needed win by defeating the Bears 4-2 in a nail bitter. Sunday night was a complete team victory! Jimmy Robin, Mark Crumrine, and Liam Nolen (we will get to him later) each had multiple hits during the game and were the catalyst to our offense. Jim Charek went 8 strong innings while only surrendering 2 runs and Pat Badia shut the door earning his first save on the season. When the lights were brightest, the defense held up strong against a very potent offense. Liam Nole stole the show by leading us on defense with a half dozen outs. None bigger than when he robbed the #3 batter in the 9th inning with a leaping grab to snag a line drive!

Saturday, the Sidewinders look to gain momentum by heading back to Heritage for a DH against the River Bandits. While they might be friends during the offseason, Saturday will be all business!

***Victory Monday***

Saturday, the Sidewinders improved our record to 4-2 by taking down the Bears in an impressive 10-4 victory!

The defense was locked in and the offense consistently filled with timely hits, great movement on the bases, and run production. While no victory can be accomplished without a team effort, there is one player that deserves to be recognized for this victory, and his name is Jeremy Aguilera. Already missing 2 starting pitchers before the game even started, Jeremy took the mound in the 3rd inning in a quick relief for Lance Voss and never looked back. In a crucial moment where he was the last healthy pitcher available, Jeremy finished the game earning his first win on the season by going 6.1 innings with only 3 runs given up and striking out 8. Hell of a job stepping up when we needed you the most!

This weekend the Sidewinders travel back to Heritage for some double action against a dangerous Barons team and look to keep the win streak alive. See you there!

Sunday's forecast up north called for revenge, and it did not disappoint. The Sidewinders improved their record to 3-2 on the season with a swift 10-3 victory against the Expos.

Nick Orlando, Lance Voss, Juan Rosales, and Jim Charek, each produced multiple RBIs, which provided all of the run support needed. Pitching was spot on with Jim Charek providing 6 scoreless innings earning the win and Pat Badia shutting the door for the day.

The defense held strong against a well hitting Expos team, BUT there was one player who easily had the play of the game (and possibly the season). In the bottom of the 5th inning with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs, Alex Stitgen made a diving play in left field robbing the Expos of 2 runs!

This weekend the Sidewinders travel back to Wheeling to face off against the Bears looking to extend their winning streak to 3 games. See you there!
