One of my favorite Robin Williams movies is Patch Adams. Robin Williams in general was one of my favorite actors/comedians of all time. Not only did I love his goofy and witty style, I also like how he openly talked about mental health and his struggles. I also related very much to him hiding his feeling behind laughter.
I’ve always aspired to be the Patch Adams in the fitness industry. Do I know a lot about fitness and nutrition and etc? Yes I do. Do I love to make others laugh? Yes I do. I noticed so often that the two weren’t often mixed. People were always so serious in the gym and most of the time looked miserable.
I always thought why can’t you goof around and laugh and get in great shape? Well you can, why people don’t is beyond me.
The resting serious face in the gym is boring. I mean whatever works for you but I’d prefer to bring a happier and more smiling atmosphere to the gym.
I always try to make others laugh, it’s literally one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been called really witty and the things I come up with on the fly often lead to a lot of laughter and good times. I enjoy bringing that to the gym setting too. Show up to the gym wearing a chicken suit, crack some jokes between sets, make someone spit their water out. Why the f**k not?
It doesn’t have to be so f**king serious all the time. I’m going to be who I am inside and out. I’m almost all situations. Laughter is medicine.
Maybe if people laughed a little more they would be less stressed about everything. Especially in the gym, stress can slow your gains, so f**king laugh, be goofy.
Mean mugging just makes you look like an as***le in the gym. Ain’t no one got time for that. More laughter might lead to more comfort for people who are weary of joining gyms.
Anyway, laugh more. Okay, have a good Wednesday. Bye Pumpkin 😘.
