You SHOULD mess up in Dance Cardio! Here’s why…
First off, screw perfection. Allowing ourselves to mess up and accept that we won’t get every step frees us from perfectionism. That way you can just let go, mess up, keep moving and have fun!
It’s good for your brain to mess up. Learning choreography is an intense cognitive workout. It pushes your brain new neural pathways- which improves memory, coordination and rhythm over time.
Messing up pushes your workout to a more caloric burn. Rather than moving on autopilot, if you miss a beat or a step, your body works to correct itself. This rapid reaction and constant movement burns calories faster than doing it perfectly. Which brings us back to our first point- SCREW PERFECTION!!
