1st Lt. Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund

Don’t forget — the 18th Annual 1st Lt. Derek Hines Memorial Game between and is coming up THIS Saturday, February 14 at the Graf Rink in Newburyport, MA.

This year marks the first time the game will be played in Derek’s hometown.

🕛 Puck drops at noon. Hope to see you there as we honor Derek’s legacy.

As we near the end of the year, we wanted to give everyone a quick update.

With all amazing rinks being built throughout the Chicagoland area, for the moment there is no room for the VHL in a league format. So in 2025, we will be focusing on Showcase events that will bring eyes to programs in Illinois within the Veteran and First Responder community.

As we prepare on our end with our sponsors and supporters for these upcoming events. Please follow and support the following teams who in 2024 have collaborated to do something good within their community. See you all on the ice!

As part of the Wolves Military Appreciation program, the 2nd Annual Wolves Warrior Classic will feature the vs rivalry game on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:30 pm.

Chicago Wolves are proud to host the eighth annual Salute to Military Families Night, presented by your Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Kia Dealers, on Saturday, April 8, when the defending Calder Cup champions host the Iowa Wild at Allstate Arena.

The Wolves will honor current and former servicemen and women along with their families throughout the night in appreciation of their dedication to our country.

In addition to the game, the Wolves will host two other events before puck drop. The Inaugural Wolves Warrior Classic will feature two veteran hockey groups– Level Zero Heroes of the Veterans Hockey League and the Carolina Hurricanes Warriors–in a pregame showcase and fundraiser for VSO’s in Chicago.

Following the game, the Military Resource Fair will return to the Skyline Room from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The event showcases organizations and companies that provide support to the veteran community. Veterans have the opportunity to receive information and ask direct questions about services and programs designed for them and their families—whether they’re getting ready to deploy or transitioning back to civilian life.
