Anyway — new day, fresh perspective + boss mode turned all the way the eff up. !

𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺 — 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦. That’s what is on repeat in my mind. ⁣

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 𝐨𝐟 𝟑𝟎 in the books! On the calendar we had Core Fuerte + a Soles on Fire Run Club meet-up to crush HIIT intervals. 𝘈𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘮á! ⁣

Oh + not to mention, I got my ass outta bed at 5:50 am! Feeling so accomplished! 🖤

If I could go back to the 13-year-old Monica, what would I say to her? ⁣
⁣
1) you don’t need to know right now what you’re going to be when you grow up! Ride it out, have fun, learn s**t. It’ll eventually come to you.⁣
⁣
2) no matter how kind, cool or likeable you try to be, SOMEONE isn’t gonna be a fan. Get used to it, that’s life!⁣

3) enjoy NOT having a job.⁣
⁣
4) the b***s — stop fixating on them. If they don’t grow, you can buy them later. (& you did.)⁣

5) the braces, good idea 😂⁣

So it’s 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 — we are starting a 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐇 Run Club kicking off October 5th! ⁣

For the next 30 days we are committing to the program + coming together for a run club on ‘run days’ because dammit, 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳! We’ve proved that 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳. ⁣

Why don’t you get a real job? ⁣
Mmmmm nah, I like my 𝘧𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 thank you very much. 😂⁣

But does it look like this everyday? ⁣
𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘯𝘰. ⁣
⁣
𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝. It has to be if you think about it. If not, it wouldn’t be worth it. If not, anyone would do it. ⁣
⁣⁣
But here’s the thing ...⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Not a day goes by that I don’t remember what it was to commute two hours to work, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 two hours back everyday.⁣
⁣⁣
Not a day goes by that I don’t remember what it was to ride the Metrorail 9 months pregnant because I needed all the income I could get before taking a leave.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Not a day goes by that I don’t remember what it was to rush home to get dinner on the table, baths and then straight to bed. ⁣⁣
⁣
Not a day goes by that I don’t remember what it was to wait for my parents to invite us on a vacation to be able to go 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.⁣
⁣⁣
Because 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘩, that ish as hard AF too. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But I think the difference, in choosing this hard, lies in this sacrifice being 𝘣𝘺 me, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 me. It’s all in the name of my family’s future, my team’s success and my legacy. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And never fails — when I take a step back a see the big picture, I realize what a privilege this struggle is! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I guess all this to say two things: 1) drown out the noise of those who don’t see or understand your vision and 2) expected to be hard ... it’s 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 that’s going to mold you into everything you are meant to be! ⁣ ✨

‘𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯...’ ⁣
and then, she saved herself 🖤⁣

These kinds of stories never stop inspiring me, fueling me to wake up and keep giving this thing everything I’ve got.⁣
⁣
In 2011 when I picked up my first program the thought of Coaching was ludicrous to me — I couldn’t see past my own nose, much less help the next person.⁣
⁣
Or so I thought.⁣
⁣
I didn’t realize inspiration did not come from perfection… But rather from watching someone take a hold of their life, do the hard thing, strive for more, believe in themselves, fight for themselves, refuse to give up on themselves, value themselves, and show up for themselves! Inspiration comes from watching someone not throw in the towel even when he gets hard. Inspiration comes from bridging the gap between 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘦 to 𝐢𝐟 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧, 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧!⁣
⁣
It’s for women like that I wake up every single day with a fire in my belly to do more and be more within my Coaching business because I now know the ripple effect + it’s impact.⁣
⁣
Yesterday, I may have inspired Melissa to start. But today, she — as a momma of two littles at home and all the craziness of this world right now— is out there inspiring the s**t out of so many women to still find the time for themselves, fight for themselves, and believe. And it’s powerful to watch. ⁣
