Coach V has over 12 years of experience in virtual coaching and instructing. She is a licensed clinical social worker and is best known for her step aerobics class and boxing conditioning class. Here are 10 reasons you should wake up and workout in the morning:

1. Morning workouts electrify your focus and energy for the day. Yes! You will be more productive.

2. Waking up and working out in the morning is self control and self discipline training. Increasing self discipline and self control in one area, elevates it in other areas of your life.

3. Cortisol is at it’s highest in the morning and exercise releases cortisol. You feel less stressed.

4. Exercise releases dopamine for drive and seratonin for happiness. What a way to start the day!

5. Morning workouts elevate metabolism! It’s better for weight management.

6. When you first rise, you have a full battery of self control and energy. You will have a more efficient workout.

7. Your ability to self regulate weakens as the day goes on. Managing the temptation to skip your workout becomes harder. Your consistency improves with morning workouts.

8. As the day grows longer, decision fatigue kicks in and you make poorer decisions. Working out in the morning l helps you to better plan your day and make better choices.

9. Working out first thing in the morning ensures that the obligations of the day will not interrupt your plans for “me time”. Eat that frog!

🚨The summer countdown continues and our community has decided on our May and June Accountability challenges to get ready🚨

In May - Our 30 for 30 Challenge returns. The goal is to move for at least 30 mins a day. The daily virtual workouts will be core focused all month long.

In June - We keep it moving with daily exercise. But we switch our primary focus to nutrition, structured eating and food journaling to really move the scale and make our exercise more effective.

1 machine + 4 exercises = an awesome glute focused leg day! 🍑

The Smith machine can be intimidating. But it is a great place to focus on good form while lifting heavy solo. It provides stability and safety as you isolate specific muscle groups.

Today's routine.

1. Back Squats
- core tight
- sit back in the chair
- drive through the heels, squeezing glutes to come up
- DO NOT thrust your hips forward

2. RDLS
- shine your rear flashlight at the wall behind you as you lower
- bar should glide right along thighs and knee
- no hunching or slumping over
- abs tight, shoulders down and back

3. Bulgarian Split Squats
- 1 knee tracks down, as the other track forward
- look up and forward
- abs tight

4. Hip thrusts
- look forward
- squeeze the glutes to initiate the thrust
- pause at the top

Our most successful weight loss program returns in May! Just in time for
Summer.

The 10 Pound Slim Down is a 28 Day Weight Loss Program. This program uses daily weight loss journaling to help participants identify what food and strategies best support weight loss on the scale. The core components of the challenge include a daily virtual weigh in, food journaling and a crash course in all things weight loss. There is a daily assignment to be completed and incorporated into your 4 week journey. This program requires a lot of attention, focus and major effort. However – if you commit and follow the plan, you will hit your 10 pounds or more!
